有一篇英文文章:
   At seven o'clock yesterday morning, a rich man went out of a hotel.  He had a bag.  It was big and heavy.  Suddenly, a white car stopped in front of him.
   There were three men in the car.  Two of them got out of the car and pointed their guns at the rich man.  They got the bag.  Then they jumped back into the car and drove away quickly.  A hawker saw the robbery.  The hawker and the rich man went to report it to the police.

問題如下:
How many robbers were there?

各位會回答:
1.  One

2.  Two

3.  Three

以上那一個答案呢?  為什麼?  回答後我再告訢你們為何我要問此問題.  謝謝各位

MY ANSWER：THREE

我都覺得是 "THREE" , 有四個老師同意 "TWO", 大家覺得接不接受? 請現任老師的入來給一些意見, 謝!

I think the answer is "three".

問題如下:
How many robbers were there?

2. Two

因為Two of them got out of the car

3 out of 2 got out of the car ma.

impossible to say 2 robbers ga.

unless the questions is how many robbers did the hawker saw ma.

OR

how many men robbed the rich man ma.

from readers' point of view, it is definately 3 men, because they didn't specify who those men (eg. the man driving had a gun to his head, but if so, when the other 2 jumped out the driver can drive away!!!!) so we will assume all three are robbers.

It is very silly to say 2 without any additional info.
