Hi all,

My son received interview offers from both ESF KJS and ESF Discovery colleague. Can any parents share their comments on these two schools? I am still thinking which one is better.

Both are good, Discovery College previously is Bauhinia School, most students come from Discovery Bay. If you live there, it will be very convenient as the new campus will be in Discovery Bay. If you live in Kowloon, KJS maybe better.

I am living in Tung Chung. I can move to Kowloon if needed. But my thinking is whether KJS teachers will have more experience when compare to Discovery Colleague since DC is a new school.

It is Discovery College, not Discovery Colleague.

Teachers of DC are very good, some are new and some are teachers of Bauhinia School. They have stated the background and qualifications of all teachers on website. If you worry, then choose KJS.

Expat teachers move around anyway. And I think ESF/DC would have their ways of selecting teachers. You should remember that DC is an IB school and they have to hire qualified IB teachers. What I heard is that, they have attracted quite a lot of good teachers around the globe. These teachers might be new to Hong Kong but they are all experienced teachers. I would not be worried much.
