My husband likes Cannan as the school fee is the cheapest and the teacher are nice. But my friend's son is now studying in York and he is good at speaking English. St. Nicolas also emphasis on English and its school fee is cheaper than York.

Which school should I choose for my baby?

1 York k2.已要考劍橋pre-starter.k3考starter.無需外面再補習.將來小一考到心儀名校較有把握.最主要間適合小朋友學校,并非以錢來恒量學校好與壞.

Thank you for your comments. Actually I have paid the registration fee for York only but I also think for other choice for my baby.

我地因為最近先打算出嚟九龍住,所以好遲先幫bb報k1,請問st. nicolas interview,是否需要小朋友講英文呢?唔該指點吓,唔該

Hi Edvychan,

Nice to meet you here. Sorry that I am not good at typing Chinese. The interview of St. Nicholas is not difficult as compared with that of St. Cat. Let the baby play in the playground for a while and then go to a room. A teacher will talk with the parents (both the father and mother are allowed to go with the baby together. KV, York and St. Cat only one of the parent is allowed). The teacher talked with the baby in Cantonese first. As a philip. maid takes care of my baby now, my baby may understand English better. We request her to talk in English. What is your name? How old are you? Read some books, play some toys, recognize colors and shapes etc. My girl always needs some time to warm up when facing strangers but the teacher spent more time to talk with her than other famous KG. (May be the famous KG have too much baby to be interviewed.) That's why I feel a little bit 15/16. Someone introduces St. Nicholas to you?? I hope that the information can help you.

Hi Edvychan,

You're welcome! You can bring your baby to the school earlier and bring some of your baby's favourite snack food. I also missed the deadlines of some famous KG such as Victoria, HKBU, KM, SOKA but I will not give up. I will try to keep on calling these schools again as many parents have held more than one seat and they need to give up some. One of my friend said that last year she was so good to inform her 2nd choice school immediately once she had made up her decision even if she has paid the reservation fee.

Hi Edvychan,

I have paid the registration fee for York as this is the first school which accepted my daughter. Just like buying insurance for my baby. I gave up Cannan as it accepted with PM class only. I gave up St. Nicholas also as I know that they offer 4 K1 classes and all are am classes only. In my own opinion, I think (but NOT very sure) that it is not difficult for me to ask Cannan and St. Nicholas for seat even if I change my mind near the start of 2008 K1. For your information, I am still waiting for the results of two other schools. What do you think? Let's share our opinions and feellings about the schools.

其實我好簡單,想小朋友d language好d,又唔想佢讀得咁辛苦,聽講迦南會比較淺,st nicholas同york d英文會好d,入小學會易d搵學校,環境我個人鍾意york校園大d,但唔知仲有mud 嘢要考慮呢,其實我地心儀的幼稚園係一d好o既基督教學校,奈何又full哂,而家只有係d幾間度揀law

原來係咁呀?我其實interview果陣,都覺得st.nicholas比較認真,佢有用英文嚟問小朋友問題,其他學校全部都無,所以我都覺得佢地對英文o既要求應該幾高,但我睇york d介紹,佢地d小朋友英文又確任幾好播,而york,所以我地都幾喜歡york,而家仲未決定到,真係頭痛

I'm sorry that I don't know 'kowloon international baptist church'. I am not planning to let my daughter to study at international school. On the other hand, I have receive the application form of HKBU and I will apply for it for my daughter.
