I'm still waiting for the result. Any mom receive result letter from DGS?

I recall that the result will be announced in Jan '08. Has to wait.

As per the slip which was received during the interview, the result will be posted on 21Dec2007.:)

Phoned to school & the one received the phoned said that the letter had been sent. Hopefully will receive the letter tomorrow.

I called DGS and the lady said the letter was mailed out yesterday. Parents will receive letter today or tomorrow. watch out lah. good luck!

雖然自己和囡囡以經盡力,但由一開始,就估到結果是怎样.
申請一間城中最出名的小學,申請者不乏家境富裕之人,女兒5歲就有18般武藝等等.
要由當中, 即二千人中脫穎而出,真係談何容易?
要明白2千人申請100個位,並不是20人爭1個位,每1位取錄生並非"打低"19個人咁簡單!(請容許我用粗谷的用詞--"打低", 但並無惡意或貶意, 請勿誤會)
其實若果你入選,正確的講係你"打低"1900人才對, 要明白戴校長不選那reject的千九人, 但她選中你的女兒,那麼你的女兒在校長眼中一定比那千九人優勝.對嗎?
所以由一開始我就知我女兒沒有咁好彩. Reject 就好自然, 亦都係預期的結果, 但accept就真係好好運啦.

明天我應該有信收啦.
祝各BK家長好運,但無論accept與否, 都要和女兒過一個快樂的聖誕及新年.

Thanks lui. Actually my daughter is not those very smart and special types though she has good memory sometimes (except the recognition of English words!). She has a quiet and shy personality so SPCC's smaller class and less competitive environment may be more suitable for her but I shall talk to more mums of both schools first before making the final decision.

Do you think why DBS accept your application, such as kindergarden, family background, character of kids, special performance in the interview, excellent profile, school accessment report, refer letter, certificate for piano, dancing or etc ?

My daughter is from SC. In her class, I know at least 3 girls are admitted to DGJS (in fact, I just checked the results of these 3 girls and luckily, all are in).

I think when school resumes after the holidays, I would hear more good news from the girls in our class.
