其實考小一唔一定要交 portfolio 的, 因為有些學校係完全不收 portfolio, 只係睇小朋友的表現, 所以您投考小學時要注意邊間學校收 portfolio 及邊一間唔收。

most famous school only consider the interview result of the child, background of the parent& the reputation of the Kindergarden.

So, you are strongly advised to train up your child for the techique of interview.

唔交當然冇問題啦, 但當考唔到時, 會唔會怨自己冇做 profile呢? 我只覺得, 盡自己努力, 盡量最齊所需, 咁就心安理得.

其實做 profile 都唔難, 可自己做或比人做, 點都係有好過冇.

我覺得面試表現緊要啲, 叩門profile就真係要好好睇睇.

agree, 不過我覺得應該自己做profile, 唔應該搵人 / 比錢人去做自己小朋友既profile.

我囝囝去年考了幾間DSS, 老實講, 我沒有花太多時間在做portfolio上, 我只是Copy 左 D cert, school report...然後用釘書機釘在一起就交拉, 因為我不太懂用電腦, 如果有時間而電腦又叻的話, 整好D都無防, 反而我覺得花多小小時Train 小朋友禮貌.. 重實際. 我囝囝都很幸運, 我報了幾間都收左.

I don't think it's very important to sent a profile to those school you applied. The most important factor are the ability of your child and the interview performance, I think.

記得去年交表時, 見到好多人都有做 portfolio, 有D重好有份量, 成本電話簿甘厚, 我當時都有一點忐忑不安, 但心想都太遲拉, 結果都系無做, 幸好結果都令我滿意.

有portfolio都唔代表佢冇實力wor! portfolio係一份關於你小朋友o既summary, 記載佢academic, arts & sports方面
o既成就, 使學校對佢有多d了解及認識! 雖然interview多數睇臨場表現, 但小朋友到時可能會怯場, 發揮唔到佢平日o既水準, portfolio正正就可以俾多個機會令學校對小朋友多d了解, 雖然有都未必一定得, 但仲算多個希望丫!

聽講交報名表時夾埋o既portfolio, 其實學校interview之前會screen過, 心裏有數知道邊d多數收, 邊d多數唔收, 所以interview幾分鐘就可以決定到收唔收! 有portifolio咪當多個機會等學校認識多d小朋友, 但冇又唔代表一定唔收wor! 我諗當大家分數相近, 有portfolio就會著數d!

agree.....just want to clarify that I mean we don't need to spend to much money to produce a 'Portfolio', but we certainly need to copy all the certificates, e.g. academic, art, sport,etc., of our kid to the school for their reference.

有當然會好d 邊個咁得閒同你睇丫
樓上講得啱 portfolio 只係配件嚟啫 ,
係係你interview 之前作一個介紹,
從中又可給校方感受吓你小朋友平時生活
話晒未必個個interview 都可發揮水準麻

個人認爲cert. 唔駛scan 太多架 , 而家
d 小朋友隨街搵個都可以攞出十幾廿張出嚟
所以要interview & portfolio 兩者配合
順其自然便是最好的表現

NO! portfolio must DIY (do it yourself).
copy cert. + some family photo + some kit's painting
that is.

I would say profolio is yes...but do not need spent too much time and 1 page summary is a must. The reason is first impression. For those principle who do not read your kid's profolio, it does not matter whether you submit or not. For those who read the profolio, that means the principle would like to understand more on your child in addition to the few minutes' interview. As the inteview time is so short and the differences in marks between candidates are so small...1 mark make huge differences to the end result.

However, for Ying Wa, the principle this year did not look at the profolio as she asked us a question that is already highlighted in the profolio.

我想請問交portfolio的資料, 是copy或original, 面試時給了學校看完, 面試後便退回給你嗎?

資料是交 copy 就可, 因唔會比番你的.
