Just receive the letter, only waiting list. Very dispointed.

My baby's performance was not so good at that interview(actually not good at all interviews) By the way, are you at waiting list on am class? As I heard that there are only 2 am classes this year.

i think our interview was good. However my girl is a super small baby. Even the teacher said : oops, she will not be 3 in the new school year.

even on the waiting list, the chance to get a seat is slim..

I knew the school received 4xx application forms but only have 2 am and 3 pm classes in the coming year. Each class has 30 students. So I guess the successful rate will be around 1:4

My son's interview was conducted @10:30 and I heard the teacher announced this is group 7!

Oh, only 400+? I thought it was way over 500 applications. We also received the acceptance letter this afternoon. I didn't think my child's performance during the interview was very good. Very happy indeed! 上午幼義班.:)

my son also got accepted into AM上午幼義班 but i am thinking whether KCS (AM) or St Paul Church (PM) is better or not..anyone has comment plss?

My girl was accept St Paul Church pm class, too. SPC is good for boys I heard, boys will go to St Paul Boy, Ranmidi...

SMM is good for girl, I've only got waiting, so we may go to SPC as it is a good school too.

聖瑪加利大 P.1 results are good too, graduates enters St. Paul Happy Valley, Wah Yan and Marymount Primary School...

Agree with you SPC is a good school and all the teachers are really nice. As my dream school is Mary Mount, it seems no kids from SPC got the seat in Mary Mount. As least I never heard.

For the graduates this year, I read from other thread, 1 boy got admitted by St Paul Co-ed, 5 boys got admitted by St Paul Boy.

So do you have any plan for your kid's primary school? Hehe, it seems too early...

I've 2 points why I choose this kinder:
1. All the teachers are very nice and patient to the children. They concern about their development and the school likes to arrange outdoor activities for their students which is not common in other kinder. I've got 2 friends's girl studying this kinder and I feel very 放心to put my son in this kinder.

2. One of my friend's girl who graduated in this kinder was accepted by Mary Mount. My friend submitted the application to this school but the school did not arrange any interview. Finally her daughter got a seat in another school in P1 central allocation. At around end of Aug, Mary Mount called her that they can offer a seat to her daughter. So in a certain extent, some famous school would like to choose those students who graduated in some kinder.

is very low.

It seems to me that getting to Marymount depends on the calculated score and by the central allocation. But somehow the results to Marymount / St. Paul from SMC is very high. Can I have your advise whether the parents of students in SMC are already the past students of these schools?

She is ok at the interview as she was able to do what the interviewer asked her to do but was too proud to trick the interviewer before carrying out her instructions.

I do think so, because I know SMM has a class specifically for small children (around 15 students in the class). During the interview I asked the teacher about that and she said it's true because small child needs much concentration. The teacher and student ration is 1:5 in this class.

Will you register in this Sat? I will accept the offer and will check the school bus route because the letter stated it's first come first serve

My daughter will be 2 by end of this month - I was told this is the reason why SMM put her on waiting list.

If SMM prefers big kids, then maybe their teaching method is designed for them.

Why don't you call school and ask the staff? You will have direct and correct answer from them. The teachers are really nice, I am sure they are willing to help.

I will go to register this Sat. My son only got two offers, one is SMM and the other is Ling Liang Church.
We are a catholic family and so I probably will choose SMM. But my husband says the environment of Ling Liang Church is better.
If SMM has special class for small children, then it is very good. This can help the kids to adapt to the school life.
I am considering to take school bus also. I am living in Fortress Hill, how about you?

My son needs to travel to school by school bus as we live in Eastern District. During the interview the teacher asked if my son will take school bus

. I hope the school route has stop in my estate (I once can see a SMM school bus pass-by in my estate).

Other mami,

Will you change the offer from PM to AM class? I think I won't do so because the teacher:student ration is ratively low when compare with AM class. As my son is a small boy I prefer teacher can take care my son more. Moreover, I am a working mom I want to have more time with my son after work. At least my son can sleep late and not worry to wake up early next morning.

Principal Ng called me yesterday and said sumyee is too young to enroll SMM, she will accept Sumyee if we apply next year....

There is one thing I forgot to ask the principal, if SMM prefers big kids, why they put Sumyee on waiting list? They can reject us ma.

So we may go to St Paul's Church in Central next year and see if sumyee will be OK to study with other kids old than her..

As it is K1 pm class, we may need to change the nursery to pm in order to consistant sumyee's schedule.

I will take sumyee to playgroup next week since we just hire a new maid. Maybe I will see you next week and chat la...

I lived in Eastern district (Yiu Tung Estate) too and am also a working mum. Where do you live?

My son needs to take school bus too. I called school bus company several mths ago and they said my son needs to wait at some points @ San Wan Ho to take school bus. They will not drive to Yiu Tung.

I think generally, kinder prefers big kids as it's easy to handle. However SMM has a class specifc for small kids. This shows they also care about small kids. My son will be 2 at the end of this year (after Christmas) so I think my son is lucky.

Hi GGA,

I live in Chai Wan, near MTR station. Why you called the school bus company in so early time? Do you know which company is for the bus service?

My registration time is at 10:00-10:30am. Seems I'm the earliest among all mommies (PM session).

Yes, principal ng call my office.

Your son must be very smart so SMM offers a seat for him even he is younger. My daughter will be 2 on Dec 28 which is a facter, however, if your son got a seat. Then there must be other reasons SMM put my daughter on waiting list.

The reason why I called so early because I want to have aan idea is there any school bus from where I live to kinder. Also, how much it will cost me. They said its about HKD$560- per month.

The name of school bus company was written in STMKG website: 繼承運輸有限公司。
I have their Tel: 2577 8112

However, not sure how does it going to be this year? Let's see this Saturday..

There is a school bus route in SMM's website. However, the route does not cover Chai Wan area. I think my son needs to take 保姆車instead of 校車.

1.The location is too far for him, because I live in Lam Tin.
2. No Native English Teacher
He is studying in Lam Tin Cannan N1 & learn more in that school. Also I have another choice --> KCS (north point, can learn more language-->PTH)

If it is a good school, I won't mind even if it is far away from my home. Maybe I'll move to the place next to the school.

Can you please tell me how good of SMM?
I just know it is a happy school, teachers are nice, more out door activities, central allocation good for girl.
