I received the letter today, but my son is just put into the waiting list!

Very disappointed. Just wanna know if there are only two types of letter sent to parents : acceptance letter or waiting list, any rejection letter ???

What's more, how long dos it usually take to wait for a vacancy for K1 class?

你收到waiting list都仲有希望,我今日都未收到,大多都會係rejection letter.我打去問過SC,係有3種信的 ( Acceptance letter + waisting list + Rejection Letter ), 以我推斷,我即將會收到rejection letter

Dear Clarawsf:

Don't worry you still have hope because many parents choice KV and give up SC, you still have chance... Actually SC is famous but not good (my son was study K1 - K3 in SC) . Now my daughter is waiting list also but I have release because no need to choice....

Agree!!! It is not good as before la! Curriculum is quite easy and also some teachers are very 白鴿眼，I don't like their teachers 節日收禮物的文化！！！

my girl also got on the waiting list for PM class in St. Cath...

I have applied for the English & PTW interview, I think I should have applied for the English & Cantonese, as there are more seats available!:-|

Anyone know if writting letter (求位信) to school will help?
And is there a priority on the waiting list?

From earlier this year's posting in BabyKingdom, does show that there are people from waiting list got accepted. (May refer to note in BK topic: St. Cat. 後補通知 )

Cheer up~~I did browse some discussion topics in BK..it seems that quite a number or mamas will take KV's offers instead of SC, so, don't worry~~you still have a hope..and some mamas' suggestions---write a letter to the kinder to show your genuine and how much you like their kinder..hope it can help!

No need to be disappointed. Many kids has been accepted by Both SC and KV in this yr. And I will give up SC, so a vac in am class. Good luck to you.

我2個囡都讀緊,一個係羅福道讀K1,一個係雅息士道讀K2.佢地2間D老師都好nice,重來冇白鴿眼.我都冇送禮物.
你話送禮呢個問題,其她家長會送唔出奇.呢D係佢自己的事.
我個囡末讀SC前係其它學校讀.我都見過其她家長送.
你話如果唔送.D老師就唔理D小朋友我就點都唔信.

千祈唔好覺得交$3xxx 學費, 就等於讀咗名校, 學校會有...白鴿眼, 好多家長都比得起, 全校咁多外籍老師, 成本都好高, 學費自然會比其它幼稚園高.

有d幼稚園分主流班&國際班, 國際班都係外籍老師授課, 都要$3xxx 學費, 咁唔通國際班d老師又有白鴿眼???

各位家長, 唔好覺得$3xxx 學費係好大嘅數目.

其實你應該一早知道佢係冇小一 backup wor, 但你都比你d小朋友讀....

我揀佢只係貪佢多外藉老師教英文....可以打好個英文底..尤其是男仔語言能力差d....Maths反而唔驚.....出去考私校機會大d。
因我大女以前讀普通幼兒院.....點知去考6,7 間私校冇間收

,問佢d 英文冇個識

。
所以揾這間同kv....but kv waiting list....:cry:
好想知道SC...有咩問題會令你反感?.....唔該!

Yes, no need to be disappointed. My daughter was accepted by KV, SC and York (only applied 3 kindergartens). I will give up SC and York, so one more vacant place in am session of SC and York. Good luck to you all.

I'm NOT St.C fans, but, just want to say,既然媽媽如此不滿此校,何解讓自己及小朋友如此委屈呢? 你選擇此校時必有你想要/要求的東西, 但當它滿足唔到你時,點解唔選擇離開呢? 難道真係貼錢買難受. 有好多St.C fans on waiting list, 你已經知道此校對你來說如此不濟,何解又再次讓你小朋友去受委屈呢? 點解唔比哪些真係想讀此校的小朋友多一些機會呢? 我覺得這樣會不會自私了一點呢?

It seems many parents attack SC this year. My opinion is not to 100% believe the news spread or post in the
internet. Just believe what you have seen and experienced

其實如果個人理由唔鍾意 St. Cat, 可以唔報, 或者唔讀, 並不須要不理性的散播謠言, 惡意中傷. (唔知點解今年好似特別多人不善意批評 SC?

) SC 無疑係一間好學校, 另外 KV and others also very good. 大家各自根據意願選擇吧!
SC 也算是名校, 但絕不是貴族學校, 話有送禮文化係咪有d奇怪呢? 我個女現在讀 SC K3, 老師好好, 又學倒好多野, 很多小學也喜歡收 SC 學生. 我個仔都讀緊 K2, 見佢一天比一天開朗進步, 老師亦樂於與家長溝通 (我冇錢送禮架!)
我個人好滿意!
