我去年和你有同樣諗法，可惜，我星期六去交kv留位費，兩日後的星期一才收到SC的信，如果早少少收到，就可以慳返6百幾元留位費了！

我都收到信係waiting list重要係afternoon session我等你都傻！我個女in五間,四間收咗(AM Class), 其中兩間係York & KV所以我都不用擔心,當初都係因為八卦先去考SC,結果得出SC係好睇父母過去係唔係讀名牌中or小學,自問小女當天表現over 90分又有禮貌都係waiting list,所以選擇SC不如選擇Victoria or Kingston

(以上純屬個人意見, SC唔得重有其他選擇）Good Luck!

My daughter was so lucky to be accepted by the English Putonghua class (am) at the Norfolk Campus.  Haven't made up my mind yet

My child is accepted Eng/Put. She speaks cantonese at home, but since our maid speaks Mandarin, so she is able to listen to Mandarin. No class attend, not planning to at this stage.

Hi tobygin888,

I choose KV because my elder daughter is studying K2 at KV now. It's nice that sister and brother could attend school together.
Well, my elder daughter also accepted by SC back then. I picked KV for her because my relatives (previous KV parents) gave me lots of good comments on KV. Also, I like KV because I don't need to worry about the ordering of school uniforms, discipline on the school bus, etc. I am not an active parent that would like kindergarten organises too many parent-child activities, picnic and outings, etc. I also like the outdoor campus of KV Dorset. Fresh air.
Of course, SC is also a famous and outstanding kindergarten. Students are smart and cheerful with very good English standard.

我都有 apply 宣幼丫，而且都係我另一間心儀既學校.... (因為我只報了 3 間 target 的學校)

我既意見係，如果要上 d 一流小學，就好似 sc 着數 d，因為始終以名氣及派位成績睇，sc 係好過宣幼 lor....

but 宣幼既老師有愛心亦係出哂名，而且又有機會上宣小 (although 唔係直接掛鈎，but 我諗到時搵校長求情都易 d)。 仲有一樣，就係視學報告都對呢間學校有好好既評價.... so 都係幾難揀架.... but 我會選擇 in 左先，收左再諗，唔收就咩都唔使諗，何必要咁早自尋煩惱??

my girl was accepted by Eng / PTG class.
She's attending Eng/ PTG pre-nursery class and we speaks English with her since she was born. She started to understand PTG and can tell us names of objects in her Chinese books in PTG now. We suspect she picked up the PTG from her pre-nursery class. Plus, my hubby speaks good PTG and he practice with her sometimes on some phases in PTG (but my hubby is very very lazy)

但係宣幼都好似唔易入喎，因為相比起 sc，佢既學位係少好多架...

而且宣幼１月先 in，如果要買保險，點都要比左 sc 既留位費先架啦，呢一筆數我地無得慳架勒....

hey, don't benchmark your child's capability by the allocation of the class.
My daughter was also accepted by PM, Eng / PTG class. But my hubby recalled that my daughter performed very well while my hubby performed not very well.
And, my hubby said within his PTG interview session, the other 3 parents were native PTG speakers.  Even my hubby speaks very good PTG (he stationed in TW and BJ for a few years before), we still thought the chance was slim.
Anyway, we're very happy with my daughter's performance and I really hope you can think more positively.
We're very lucky already since I know some of my friends who applied PTG / English are only on waiting list.

SHe's going to Telford Kindergarten in Kowloon Bay.
My daughter is 2.5yrs old now and she's very happy with the school. She always acts like the teacher and holds the book and name the objects to me.
another surprise is when I flip over her Eng textbook from school and point at the letter "H h" to her, she read out the sound of "H", not the name of H.  I think her kinder also teaches her on the sounds of "H".
Anyway, I'll check with her class teacher and clarify. It might due to our phonics VCD, who knows?
Kids are smart and every day, every hour, every second, they're observing and receiving messages.

However, pls don't expect Telford is as "grand" as those kinders in Kln Tong. It's more down-to-earth (but still charging HK$3,XXX per month for the Eng / PTG stream for pre-nursery)
To me, for pre-nursery, a kinder that offer Eng / PTG and close to MTR station is good enough for me la.

I'm a spare school jacket and knitwear, 100% new, see whether you need.
yes, really expensive, but the teachers are nice and my daughter learns a lot.

what class are you going to St Cat for K1? Eng / Can or Eng / PTG?

I really don't know Telford Kinder has ENG/PUT stream ar, even I live at nearby!!! so the class will only be in Eng/Put without any Cantonese, right?? if this is the case, i will also consider to let my daughter studying N1 there ar (cos' my daughter is only 1y11m old and she will not be accepted at any N1 until she turned 2 in Jan08).

其實小學如果係大抽獎個種，又係無得你諗，只係睇住邊區。如果係直資或私校，正如我之前所講，我會覺得 sc 着數少少，因為 so far 聽到 sc d 派位都係比宣幼好 d。

thanks very much for the details of the kinder, and your kind offer of the jacket. i will try to go there and have a site visit first....

btw, as told by isis_dad, her daughter is enrolled early this year, so maybe my daughter can't take a seat there lor... but it's still good to gain such info., so that i can tell my fd who live in telford garden and need to find a kinder for her kids.

on the other hand, i have still got a seat from other kinder for N1, so i'm not worried about that, but very interested in those kinder that have Eng/Put even in N1. if possible, i'd like my daughter to learn better Put in an earlier stage.

The teachers in Telford are very nice.
I called Ms Siu last afternoon and expressed my words of thanks to all their hardwork and hope they won't have any bad feeling about my daughter's non-pursuing K1 in Telford.
She's very nice and said no bad feelings at all. She's also very glad that my daughter got accepted by St Cat, Eng/ PTG.  Hope everything will be fine with my daughter la.
