1. Bring him to St. Joe a few times to see the environment and even visit it (in open day, if you have invitation card)

2. Tell him the differences between P.1 pupils and kinder boy. For examples, the recess (time to go to toilet!), many subjects to learn (some are in English and some are in Chinese), assembly session in playground, fixed seat and keep quiet during lessons, more classmates per classroom, more homeworks to do, many facilities in school and more responsibilities, etc.

3. If he is attention deficit or hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), approach experts for helps

4. Reschedule his time table outside school time.

5. Check if school bus route ready for your selection, or whether you need the school bus service.

6. Tune his body clock to suit afternoon studies.
