各位家長,

今年的測驗剛剛派發, 不知各位家長的女兒成績如何? 我的女兒便一般, 而且, 英文還不合格, 一向堅持不補習的我, 我亦要向現實低頭, 我想問各家長有什麼好的補習社在 st. paul 附近可以提供? 謝謝!

你女幾年班? 我果個P2. She is failed in English too!
我沒有搵補習班給她上.
她實在太小功課, 我現在買了英文補充要她每天加做2版.
其實要睇返張卷, 個小朋友係那部份出問題, 串子, 文法, 唔小心, 理解....

我聽人講St Paul 附近有兩間專補此校學生, 不過我唔知詳細地點, 希望其他家長可以幫你啦!
或者叫個女問下d同學或者perfect姐姐, 她們多數會知, 由其P.5 及P.6果d同學, 會有多d人去補習架.

Hello ii3,

我個女都是 P2, 其實, 我一直也不主張那麼小便要補習, 不過, 實在也沒的辨法, 因為, 我要返工沒有時間看她的功課及和她温習, 而且, 有些考試也不是全部在曾經做過的內容那裡出的, 他們較著重小朋友的理解, 所以希望有了補習會好一點!

我也曾嘗試給補充予她做, 但也是因沒有時間和她批改, 也是沒用!

我想問下如果中, 英, maths 是但一科肥佬是否一定要 repeat？　repeat 左之後如果都唔得係咪要出校 ? 如果讀開中文小學轉去 convent 英數同 G.S. 會否追唔上, pls share ! thanks a lot !!

其實2間tutor center E +己經冇以前咁好了,可能越高班啲程度就越深. 如果你的小朋友讀緊1,2年級去佢哋到補都仲OK,但如果越讀越高之後,我就覺得差左好多,所以越高班果啲,多數都係個別搵人去補,真係好

i got a flyer and heard that Mrs J Wai from st paul primary has opened a tuition center in causeway bay, see if you guys are interested tel:93795779 Buddy Quest Tuition centre.

thanks tofufish for the info. i have called the number and Mrs J Wai's daughter (Josephine) assisted my enquiry, she will call me back to confirm the Chinese lessons for my daughter :)

Yes, she just retired this term and opened a tuition centre near spcs, she taught Chinese, but she also taught maths before. I sent my daughter for their 全科補習 on Mon -Fri and Chinese 強化班on Saturday mornings, and the 全科補習 are good, as my daughter can finish her homework /revision during the class,(approx 1.5 -2 hrs) and they are flexible, and care about students' and parents' needs, so my daughter can have more leisure time after dinner, we are happy for that:)
About the 強化班,it is great! highly recommend too! Mrs Wai tailor made papers for them to drill them on every class with everything covered ( comprehension skills, rhetoric etc and most important , the writing skills!!So I don't have to apply course by course for my daughter outside.
My daughter told me that some of her classmates join 2 sessions of the Chinese class per week hahah...

Hi Tofufish

My daughter is also attending Mrs Wai's Chinese 強化班 and I quite like the way she teaches.... I have specially asked Mrs Wai to focus on writing skills!

My daughter really likes Mrs Wai and even her assignments :D

I am thinking of adding one Math 強化班... has any of your daughter's friend try this class before?

oh...that's great... One of my friend's classmates is attending the Maths 強化班 while her little brother from spcs kindergarten is attending some classes for their age at Mrs Wai's centre too!
They prepared maths paper like spcs style/format , my friend said she likes it because those papers are not past papers copied from spcs, they tailor made for them according to their syllabus. You are interested in their maths 強化班too??

Hi Tofufish, I really wonder if Buddy Quest Tuition Centre is able to provide such quality service. I have visited the centre and the area of the centre is even smaller than half of a classroom. Second, I doubt if there's sufficient manpower to prepare a large quantity of materials for the children based on the scale of the business. Thirdly, I have heard from others that Mrs. J Wai is quite a boring teacher and she seldom conducts the class interestingly.Upon my observation, I prefer going to other centres in CWB like St.Jomary, Cheung's or Band One than going to Buddy Quest. Hi Cecilia, I am surprised to hear such negative comments on Buddy
Quest and Mrs Wai, are these your experiences?  From what I witnessed and feedback from my daughter, she is happy with Mrs Wai's teaching
and enjoying taking Chinese lessons there.  In regards to the size of the tuition centre, their classrooms are even bigger than the ones in
St Lee Luk... I actually focus more on the teacher to students ratio rather than the sq ft size :)
Of course you don't have to send your kid to Buddy Quest as I was just trying to share info with other BK Moms via this forum.  It's really
hard to find a good Chinese tuition centre in CWB, if you do have more info about other centres, pls do share with us.

張氏補習

社 - I think it is better as it is more focus on the St Paul's Convent. The other one , student comes from different school. We just enroll the 操卷班 every Sat 3-4 hrs around 4-6 lessons before every examination. But most students does not rely on the 張氏補習

社 mostly. They go somewhere else and really read story books at home or in tution center. 張氏補習

社 is just to do the exercise that is very boring for P1 and P2 girl. I hope it does not make your mark high. The girl I see they stay longer in the 張氏 then their mark becomes lower.
For Maths, we find a maths retired teacher to teach my draughter.
For Chinses, I have no idea as my draughter has not good result at that.

唔.......我兩個女女(都係讀高年班)都係聖利祿度補習，我都覺得幾好啦, 至少佢地返左屋企之後，我乜野功課溫習都唔使再理，成績又進步左好多喎
