請問申請入讀08/09(esf) year 1 的家長們，你地收到interview通知未？

我今天收到了，於一月中面試。

請問有無人知道，面試後，大約幾耐先知收唔收？

hi Glossimar,

Within 2-3 weeks following the interview, applicants will be informed individually by mail whether they will be offered a place at the school.

I also apply 2008/09 year 1, but I haven't received any interview or regret letter.

The school office told me that the result will be released before Chinese New Year.

I have received the interview letter, the interview will be in the 14 JAN/2008 9:00 am.

I need to confirm the interview before 14 DEC.

Anyone who applied KJS received the interview letter? Most of my friends already got letters from different schools, I received from KJS too.

I called SJS this morning and was told that they would send the interview letter today (26/11) because they were busy in the school fair last friday

: . Ooh! over 300 applicants compete for 150 seats

. My son is not a ESFTY student, so.....

It seems that there are an extraordinary large number of appliants this year. Even in KJS (the zone is not so big), as told by the school, there are many returnee applied for P1 and then some qualified applicants are re-zoned to the HK side and some are on the waiting list.

How can you get the information (over 300 applicants compete for 150 seats in SJS)? Except SJS, do you know KS?

ESF centre just told me that 1,300 applicants complete 1,000 seats (for 10 primary schools).

The interviewer will just indicate to the parents the possibilities of their kids being accept or verbal confirmation would be given out right after the interview ?

My letter is stated that "We would like to stress the fact that a successful interview does not guarantee your child a place at Kennedy School due to the high demand for our 150 places on offer. After the successful completion of interview your child will be placed on our waitlist and we will inform you of your progress on this waitlist."

Is the content of all letters are the same? I heard that successful interview=get in (not on waitlist). Am I wrong?

As My son is in KJS, mine is having a little bit different than yours: Please note that, we are over-interviewing this year due to the overwhelming number of applications received. Successful category 2 children at interviews may be allocated a place at another ESF school until a transfer is available back to KJS.

One of my friend is the same too.

I also received the invitation letter for an interview from SJS. The interview date will be on 28th Jan 2008.

We are also invited to attend the "Information Session" that will deliver an overview of the process and details about the interview on 23rd Jan 2008.

dearest ESFTY parents, I just read the newsletter in Nov stated that there were 10 youngest students who did not get places in P1 last year would have interview this time. Does it mean that the chance of placement in P1 for the youngest one are very slim? My son is definitely one of the youngest students. I'm getting worry. :cry:

Best of luck at the interview!

If your children will be interviewing at Bradbury School in Jan. 2008, why not consider bringing them to our school this Saturday for the School Fair. It's a great opportunity to show your children around the school, get familiar with the environment and also have lots of fun at the game booths!:D

Hi nonohi,

I also applied SJS + RC and the interview date is 29 Jan 08 also. What is your time and the group no. ? My son's interview time is 1:30 pm group 8.

As far as I know, if we applied both, SJS will arrange the interview first, if we failed in SJS's interview, RC will then proceed the interview in their side.
