九龍塘小學 VS 聖若瑟英文小學 (彩石里)

我知現在問好似早左D, 不過如果吟好彩的話我可似以有多D資料在手, 仔仔性恪比交內向但喜愛運動.

I am not fully know the different school.

For my limited data :

九龍塘小學--- 外藉老師------>better
            --- 升中---------->better
            ---功課----------->More difficult

聖若瑟英文小學 (彩石里)---課外活動------->Better
                              ---運動------------>Better

My son is K2 right now, I also play attention on the KTS and St. joh.

Hope KTS also accept your son

I would choice the KTS better than St. Joh, since the
location/up to F1 choice the school are OK.

Dear 牛牛Dady,

My advice is as follows.
Kowloon Tong School is a very good primary school but they use traditional teaching method. The home work loading is heavy, it is well known that KTS always give a lot of home work to their students but keep in mind that if you son is very active and he is not suit for traditional school, don't choose KTS. Also, the prospect of geting into band 1 Secondary School is better if your son is studying in KTS. Firstly, the Primary School is in Kowloon Tong, there are many good or average secondary school using English as medium of teaching. Second, the P6 graduates from KTS are quite smart and from the statistics of their school web, it seems that most of their students can get into band 1 secondary school.

On the other hand, St. Josphen is also quite good in provide English Environment to students (they emphasize on teaching IPA, Phonics). However, it seems that the St. Jos. is not willing to expose their statistics of getting into Band One Secondary school to public. They have a direct link with their Secondary School, St. Jos Secondary School, but somebody said that this secondary school is not using English as main medium of teaching. Finally, the St. Josp. School is located in Kwun Tong, the School net for secondary school seems not as good as that of Kowloon Tong.

The campus of KTS is very nice but the tution fee is quite high, the campus of St. Jos. is small as compare to that of KTS and the tution fee is average.

However, the St. Jos boys always can be able to give good performance in extra-curricular activities, if your boy is a active person, St. Jos is a good choice.

Finally, the decision is up to how you look at the two schools, may be we can talk again later !

My daughter is now studying in P.3 at KTS.  Daily
homework is around 4 pieces and a couple more
for the weekends.  For P.1 & P.2, there're 6 Chinese
dictations and 6 English dictations in each term.  P.3,
5 dictations for each subjects.  2 tests and 2 exams
each year.  I do think that the workload is reasonable.
Definitely not pushy at all.  If money is not a matter,
KTS is definitely a better choice.

I will choose KTS rather than St. Joseph...
No good impression to this school now:tongue:

No extra tutorial lesson after school. If your kid
has any problems in Chinese/Eng/Maths, KTS will
provide after school tutorials for free. My daughter
is joining the Maths tutorial, just to revise what
she learnt in class.
