My son attended an interview last Saturday and recieve an acceptance letter today. I also applied for SC and Kenvilled, not sure if I should accept the offer.

Any advice?

Yes, i receive the letter also. I decide to accept the offer as i really feel SJC is a good school.

Don't give up, as the teacher said some letters send out date will be different... Just wait until 22 Nov.

Same as you, half day is the best for K1 student.

I did not receive any letter from the SJC either. I don't think my son is being accepted as he didn't perform well during the interview

I received an offer letter from St Joanne today. I don't believe it. My son's performance was so far so good at the interview date. He did not talk and answer to teacher during the interview. Just say "bye". It is not difficult to entre into this kindergarten.

My daughter was not performed very good. She mixed up names of animals & no response in 2 of the questions. SJC accepted her!
Is there anyone rejected by SJC?

I think the whole idea of interviewing a 2yr old child is to ensure they do not have obvious learning difficulties or behavioural problems. School have their quoter to fill, and SJ being relatively more expensive would appeal to a small population.

I agree. I think interviewing the 2 year old kids is just to see if they have anything 'abnormal'. I think there is really no point to assess the kid in just that few minutes, as they may not act as they normally do in front of a stranger.

Anyway, anyone knows what is good and bad for this kindergarten? I am thinking of whether to register.
Does anyone know someone who is studying there? What are their comments?

Morning! Everyone.
I have just got an acceptance letter from SJC as well. As I have applied SC as well and am still waiting for the results, I could not make up my mind at the moment. The information seems to be very limited about this kindergarten. I am a little concerned about kids' Chinese level at this school. Any one could share more info about this school would be really appreciated.

I also think St.Johannes is my final decision, i think the no. of students in this school is less then SC, the teachers can be more focus on the students.

Moreover, its English standard is high.

I am not too sure yet. I am going to give them my good $660 and I need to sleep on it.

It is a good kinddy for sure, but I am quite concerned with its primary section after I have read THIS. What do you all think?

If you don't like the primary section you can always change. You still have a better chance to get in other primary school after 3 years of kindergarten.

My daughter gets accepted but I am going to decline the offer. After visiting the K1 & K2 campus which is on Flint Road, I found that the outdoor play area is not very children-friendly. There is a slight slope and my daughter fell down a few times. Besides, I found that their toys are a bit old compared to other kindergartens. I've also talked to the teacher and realise that there won't be too much Mandarin to learn. The teacher also mentioned that their curriculum will be a year advance compared to other kinders. I'd say if you are aiming high, this is a right school for your kid as they have a high standard. To me, I hope my daughter to have a happy school life with no pressure.
