Hi,

I'm a new memeber and first time to talk on blog

Anyway, I've called PLK CKY just now and told that 2nd interview for 08/09 P.1 will start next week. You will receive a phone call to confirm the details for 2nd interview if your kid is successful in the first round.

I don't hear from CKY as of today so I guess my girl not offering chance for 2nd interview

Anyone received phone call from them? Please share....

I just made call to school. And the girl checked it for me with the IT department person. Noticed that they still not post yet the second in candidates on the web. But they said they will post soon. (They will try the best to post ASAP), but don't know the exact schedule.-everyone please keep on checking on their website.

The girl told me that they will start to have the second in on Monday. And will call the candidates sooner or later.

If cannot receive call or cannot find your child name from the web, don't worry, cause the girl said they will call and post on the web group by group (Not all at once).

Please be patient, CKY's admin. is as such, they are all just in time and you need to adapt it if you really want to join it. From past experience, they will call you starting from this late afternoon and up to early next week.

Thanks all for the info. Seems all of us, the parents are calling the school but not much help. We still need to wait. Hope we all can get a phone call from them today and invit our lovely kids to the 2nd interview. And then....

I've contacted the school today. The staff said they had not started to notify 2nd in. result today yet.
Actually they just finished handling the 1st in. (those attended on 3.11.2007) result. They would notify who attended 1st in. on 3.11.2007 for 2nd in. (if successful) in early next week by batch (probaby according to the order of their application no.). At the same time, the 2nd in. result would be posted on website at the same time. No letter would be sent most likely.
So excited.
Anyone received information again, please share a.s.a.p. !

I also called (but it was yesterday). According to the lady who picked up the phone (very polite and gentle), the school would be posting the 2nd interview list within the next 2 days (i.e.yesterday and today) in the website and only the application number (Y1xxx) will be disclosed (not the name of the kid). Shortlisted applicants would be contacted by phone (not mention the time frame).

When asked, the 2nd interview would be from Nov 19 x'mas.

Comments were quite different from FFMaMa but may be they change since i called yesterday.

I did call the school on Thur, the lady said that the notification letter will send out on 19/11. They will also call those who will have the 2nd interview on 19/11 only. Others will receive the letter after 19/11.

It's found that the school gave different answers in different enquiries. They had no concrete schedule and plan indeed, but I think the situation should be more clear in this week.

I've just called the school. The lady said that they will post the result (partly but not all ) on their web later today and they will inform the applicants individually by phone but no letter will be received. Since the 2nd interview schedule will last until christmas so they will not inform all the successful candidates at once which meant that we can only wait for their phone call.

Hi 甜cc,

Please first go to the 'Admission' page and then click 'Refresh' in your Internet Browser. I have tried this before in order to refresh the list.

Please take note that the list is in .jpg format which means that you can't search your appl no by using 'search' function.:tongue: Instead, you need to go through the list by your own eyes.

Luckily, my daughter is on the list and will be interviewed on 26-Nov.

我覺得應該不是, 你應該發現第一批的號碼是由個位至千位數都有的. 放鬆點, 可能在後面那批.

Please share if anyone have ideas on the 2nd interview.

My 1st interview also is Nov 10 and my number is 929.
However we found 919 and 930 in the fist round 2nd
interview.

Hi Hi...so lucky that my son is also on the list. But it seems 3 families meet at the same time with the principal / teachers. I just want to know if it means they will pick one ffrom three for each group??

So nervous these days coz we have to prepare dbspd's 2nd in and also cky's 2nd in. Frankly, I just applied these two schools for my son. If both of them are not success, then.....we may need to wait for the Big Lucky Draw......woooo.....so worry......

3 families in a room meet with the Headmaster and 1 senior teacher.
The headmaster will ask questions with 3 group parent in the same time.
1) Why are you choosing this school?
2) From what source you know the school?
3) Did you go to Seminar
4) Where did you bring you kids out during the weekend?
5) Any question you want to know about the school

The headmaster will ask kids questions:
1) Do you like reading books? What books? What did the story talk about? What did you learn from the books?
2) What do you want to be when you grown up?

During the conversation with parent. I guess the senior teacher will look at the kids and see how they act. And also see how aggressive your kids are to answer the questions.

This is my experience 2 years ago. Hope this can help. Good luck.

因收到部份家長傳來pm詢問2nd interview的情況，故在這裡分享一下。小兒是前年面試的，以前父母與孩子一并會見校長及老師，校長談談學校的理念、教學形式，而老師會問孩子喜歡看書否，及講述所看的書的內容，亦有問孩子希望長大後當甚麼等。

在蔡繼有面試其實是較輕鬆的，孩子坐到歪歪斜斜，就算是伏在桌上（正是小兒），學校都可能會收，學校主要看看孩子及家長是否能配合學校。至於喜歡閱讀的問題，我建議如實答覆，説到底若孩子未能配合學校的環境，勉強都是没有幸福的。

但去年好像形式已改，父母不能一起會見校長了。可能找些一年級家長分享會更為合適。

希望各位能為孩子物識到適合的學校。

Be frank, i don't admire the process they release the information. Why don't do it once and for all ?
My impression on this school has been very school but couldn't really understand why they are handling matter in this manner that make parents very nervious. Think about itm, chances are getting slimmer and slimmer as they releases more and more.

Dear Parents,

Since the 1st interviews were held on 2 different dates (one week apart), I am sure there will be updating of the 2nd interview in batches. It was the same for last year.

I guess all applicants are screened by Principal Lau and she is always busy. That's why you need to be patient.

Sharing on last year's 2nd interview format:
Last year, the kids met Principal Lau in a group of three. They were asked to read simple story books and tell Principal what they wanted to be when they grow up.
The parents would meet a teacher while waiting for the kids. The teachers were there to ensure the parents understand the school and to avoid any mis-matching, since the parents would be the school's "partner" in up-bringing the kid for the coming 12 years.

I only know there was "Oxford Reading Tree" series last year. But I think it maybe possible that they have Chinese book as well? As you know, this is a bilingual school, right?

the school has posted the 2nd in held on Nov 27. I have called the school, the lady said they will keep posting tomorrow.

I just received a call from CKY for the 2nd interview.(24/11 at No. 5 Kwong Lee Rd, Kln) and my daughter's app. no. is on the list which posted today (Actually I can't find on web last night). For the parents that can't find your kid's number. Don't give up and keep check the web everyday. Good luck.....!!!!

By the way, I received call from school today. The staff told me that children would see principal, while parents would see senior teacher respectively.

Thanks for your sharing in the 2nd interview conducted last year. Could you please let us know if the Principal will interview the children in English or Cantonese, or in both language? If he gives an English book to the children to read, will he ask questions about the book in English? (since it may be hard for the children to translate the answer back into the Cantonese perhaps).
