我也很期望我的女兒可以比接納, 很緊張呀!

I have applied for my daughter too.
Do you think the school is different from that of "very traditional school", with tonnes of homeworks and tests?
I have one more question, is the secondary school is a Band 1 school or Band 2 school? I heard that after they have the headmistress changed three years ago and become a whole day school. The whole study environment have been changed to be more active.

Then, it must be very difficult to be admitted in the first round unless those kindergarten students who've reserved seats withdraw later...:cry:

I have received the offer too. We probably will choose to study at this school.

I think it is not true that "no one will be rejected by SC" as the school has been a longstanding school. May be not with the TOP academic level, but it should be better than avearge. Also, only 62 seats and the kindergarten has priority. You may imagine how many places would have left. The case would be the same like SH, very few places will be given to outsider.

I have a friend whose girl is studying in SH private session. She is a graduate of SH Kinder. She comments that the half day school of SH is really a defect. She said the teachers does not teach the whole chapter before the dictation and tests. She think it might because they just do not have sufficient time to cover all. So that the parents shall take the call to help the child.

She has a tutor who has been teaching SH and SC for years. The tutor comments that SC is more interactive and the headmistress was the headmistress of Marymmount school. She has brought her new managment and teaching style to the school after it operated the whole day school three years ago. My friend is considering to let her girl to shift to SC at P2.

I think SC will be more suitable for my girl.

but interview schedule is Dec 1.
How did get you the P.1 offer so early?

I will definetly pay the deposit and wait for the result of 1st round. I am living in kln and belongs to net 31. My target school is ST mary and i have got only 20 points. If we do not get it in the 1st round, i will go straight to SC without taking part in lucky draw.

Oh, your friend's decision is very odd to me. I think she has shared with you her view. can you tell me more? How about you? Do you have any other target DSS/private school? Personally, i am looking for a school that is not placing too much pressure on students. I am seeking for a moderate one. I hope SC would be one of them.

I didn't apply "kao Yan". She has good reputation as well.

Hi Lui,

That's my concern. I like St Claire because of better english environment. However, my husband likes Kau Yan because of good moral education and he also scares that the curriculum of St claire is too difficult....Actually, we've very limited knowledge on both school...

It seems strange that SH have both private session and govt subsidised afternoon school. The afternoon school even accepts more girls than the private school. Will you wait for the lucky draw to make a final decision? Is it a great difference between SH private session and SH afternoon school in terms of academic performance?

My daughter is also accepted by St. Clare. It troubles me much as I really don't know the exact location for St. Clare's secondary school. Anyway, I believe SC is a good school.

SH am is a private school. From P1 to P6 is half day. SHp.m is free of charge. P1 to 4 is half day. P5 and 6 is whole day. Their academic level is
similar. Both are running by the same church and using the same campus. some people said am section is better??? Some people said their standard is very close??You can check more infornation from the babykingdom.
I will wait for the first round. Which School you choose?
Today, I called St clare. The staff stated that the school will allow us to go for the draw(both 1st and the 2nd round)
Will you register for SC?
The SC secondary is far away. The location is "mo sing ling"near pokfulam.
