標題: 浸會大學王錦輝中小學好不好? [打印本頁]

兒子被王錦輝小學錄取了, 明年會就讀小一. 我是既開心又擔心, 因身邊的朋友都没讀過該校, 又是新校, 没什麼口啤, 所以心裡十五十六. 其實我都幾鐘意該校的辦學理念, 只是他們是否真能做到所說的那樣呢? 3500元學費是否物有所值呢? 再加上之前校長離職問題和行政混亂的困擾, 心裡不踏實. 請各家長指點. 謝謝

小囡現讀王錦輝一年級，去年獲取錄後，亦猶豫了好一些日子，尤其是女兒獲九龍塘區其他小學取錄後，曾打算入讀該區小學而放棄王錦輝。但最終我還是讓女兒進入了王錦輝，並展開了中小學的新階段。

小囡上學兩個多月，她每天上學都很開心，病倒了上不了學反而會不開心，這使我可完全省卻小朋友不適應小學生活的憂慮。學校不算太多功課，但需多看課外書，每星期五天都有不同的課外活動讓小朋友參與，每三個月又可轉換其他活動，不用只是讀死書。

當然，新學校的行政未完全上軌道前會相對較為混亂，但今年已較去年大有改善，有二年級的家長對我說去年真的很混亂，但今年已經很不錯了。

我喜歡這學介乎傳綂學校及國際學校之間，有默書考試，要做功課，但數量不是很多，但亦注意學生的記律。上課主要為英語，中文科用普通話，可配合現今社會需求，在我而言，很不錯呢！

不過，最重要是視乎你的小朋友是否適合這類學校。

王錦輝已offer了10/11的G.1位給我囡囡, 但始終學校新, 只是幾年,知道小學生讀得都好開心, 但担心不知未來在學術領域上會怎樣..

Last year application started from June and interviewed in August. I have no comment on secondary school but primary school is very good.

In my opinion, kids should have better foundation on English and Mandarin (Listening and speaking), otherwise, although they are accepted they may have hard time in the first few months. Good foundation makes them more confident and enjoy study.

The principal said they stress on conduct rather than academic success. Except some minor administrative chao, this school is very good.

I also gave up Pui Kiu at the last minute.  Now my daughter is so happy and I am happy with the school too.

A question was about the cost of extra activities.  Those in school schedule are free of charge such as Abacus, Latin Dance and some sports.  Student needs to change to another type of activity every 3 months so this is in fact on temporary basis.

Classes after school will involve minimal costs around $20-100.  My girl took Japanese which is $35 per lesson.  As confirmation is by lottery, in case of bad luck parents may apply for few more classes.

I'd like to suggest parents to find in advance more options of transportation companies.  Some people are still complaining about too early pick-up and late drop-off.  If you do not have a choice, dealing with the school bus company can be big headache.

Thanks for very helpful infos, yes,I like their teaching style, just my opinion, Pui Kiu's background is too "red", anyway, I think my kid will enjoy her school life in WKF in coming 2010

I told to the teacher that my daughter did not like reading much during the parents day, then the class book of English has been given her to read immediately during the vacation.

So up to this moment I satify the school.

we are waiting for YingWa, ChoiKaiYau, PuiChing.
On waiting list for St Stephen, WongKamFai.
Got offers by Raimondi, SFA.
We have turned down GT and Rhenish.

Which one would you suggest?

Our aim is to build up for him a strong basis for languages. Not crazy harsh on academic or homeworks. Better to be an co-ed school to fit also for his younger sister; and better to be through-train school so that less pressure for getting into sec school.

Any idea?

Littlemak,
For my opinion,
CKY – kids is more happy, and also Language environment is fit for you.
YWah – save more $$, but trend to traditional school, student need to study various course after school.
WKF – school is ok, but still need time to develop. Not very secure!
PC - boring but good school, language envoironment may be not fit your requirment.
GT – trend to business, not like school for me.
Renish – a little bit “谷”, no surprise, no sad if study this school.
St. Stephen- not familiar for me, no comment.

Logos is IB approach, it’s fit for study aboard in future. Principle is efficient and ability person. I trust student who study Logos will happy and good result for 新高中exam. Logos is 重學生develop their ability.

EC’s principle is aggressive person, but school emphasis “no. of word, student can learn and remember”. Style likes traditional school. Students need work hard to keep higher marks. But EC is a good school too! Compare others, EC is 重學術 school.

昨天5點幾,馬鐵到石門站有一班大約10-11歲左右(4,5個)王錦輝小學生由班菲傭接放學上馬鐵,當時都幾擠迫,我站在車門旁,有位老伯由家人推着輪椅在車箱中間,那班小男孩的傭工上車後站在一旁傾計,而那4位男1位女小學生在現"搓皇帝",雖然我都明白小朋友放學玩耍是正常,但都要睇甚麼場合,一來車箱己擠迫又有老人家,二來他們不只嘈到拆天,並且不停踏地板,整車卡乘客都注視他們沒有人出聲,本來我都心諗再多幾過站便落車算數,但他們完全都沒有收檢,越來越嘈(我用ipod聽歌都完全聽唔到)

所以我終於忍唔住,行上前同佢哋講,知唔知這是共眾地方,你們談笑沒問題但太過份影響其他乘客就不可以,他們你眼望我眼(可能沒有想過會有人出聲話佢哋),靜咗5秒後,又繼續玩但沒有之前的過份,但因我已到站落車所以不知我離開後如何,我說心諗點解現在的小朋友一點都沒有怕大人,我出聲之前有位女仕是用眼神"掘"住佢哋,班細路都知道別人唔鍾意,但其中一個小朋友跟那女仕對望了一吓避開她的眼神當作不知道,直接要人出聲才收檢,想當年的小朋友怎可能這麼大膽,而讀這間直資小學的家庭大部份都是菲傭照顧,相信如此原因所以那些小朋友平日的言行舉止都少有長輩教導,比起一般家長照顧的頑皮

其實我經常會遇見王錦輝小學的學生,發覺都比較頑皮,如下次再如此我真想打電話去佢哋學校投訴,但相信那些小朋友是學校的米飯班主,就算收到投訴都唔會點理!所以就我雙眼所見,就算王錦輝學術成績不錯(現在跟本沒有人知,加上佢自己有自己的課程,行IB),我都唔鼓勵別人的小朋友去讀那間學校

I had exactly the same experience with yours. I saw some WKF students played in the train compartment noisily about a month ago. Unfortunately, I am a WKF parent. My boy is their grade 1 student. I stared at these students and was thinking if my son will be like them ... so annoying! That night, I told my son of what I saw and asked him if they are correct? He said no and he will not do like that.

I believe that these kind of students are existing in all kind of schools. Not just WKF. And it is not just the school's responsibility to train the students. It is, I believe, mainly the parents' responsibility. They are just part of the students. There are lots of WKF students that behaved well.

我每天乘馬鐵接送子女，已見過無數學生頑皮的表現，包括不同學校的中、小學生；太過份的，亦曾嘗試出言勸諭。所以我敢說，真的每所學校也有特別頑皮的學生。

但始終學生還處於學習階段，成人的責任是不斷提點他們，還記得有一次參加一個教育分享座談，那專家說小孩、少年屢次忘記成人的叮嚀，其實是正常現象，成人不管一百次、二百次，還是要提點下去，這就是教育。

希望大家不要用批判的態度，對待這些未來主人翁，大家也明白責備是最差勁的教育方法，想當年我們也曾是小學生、中學生，那你希望成人怎對侍你？

不過，有一點頗對，有些傭人只顧聊天，有些甚至在車廂中拿食物給小孩吃，所以家中有傭人的請小心。

最後，贊成各位向學校投訴，學校提點可能更為有效。

我個女今年都會入讀小一，樓主嘅post，我都有同女女講過，我提醒女女，穿著校服要更留意自己言行，否則好易令人對全間學校都留下壞印象. 我都係要請工人湊女，吾想比人話工人湊就較頑皮，敎定亞女先.

I know the strenght of this school is happiness but not academic. However, will it has great different in acadmic result. For example, compare with ying Wah.. ,or some local school like Lui Ming Choi, Pui Kei........
