當然緊張 ! 你估有冇機, 另外升原校中學是否只收100 人, 明年5班是否即是有50% 直上?

In St. Joe Colleage, currently there are 5 classes x 40 pupils = 200 places.

The school will leave 30% places for external applicants.

Hence, max. 140 places will be reserved for St. Joe. Primary School.

In St. Joe, there are currently around 277 P.6 pupils.

Hence, you are right. At maximum of 50% pupils (140/277 x 100%) could be directly admitted to St. Joe Colleage.

If the class structure remains unchanged in St. Joe. Colleage (SJC), then your estimation is right.

However, that doesn't mean the pupil who ranked 140 could or could not enter the SJC. SJC reserves some places for pupils who have potentials in other areas like sports, musics, etc. Past few experiences reveals that academically, those who rank 120 or above could directly enter SJC. That is, around 1/3 each class of P.6.
