Our son is now 5yrs 4mth old (K3), a few teachers from hobby lessons said he might "gifted" and we send him to IQ test.
The teachers said my son is very intelligent, creative, good memory but cannot sit still.
He can understand what the teacher said but he is often too emotional and talkative.
He seems smart but not genius.  He cannot remember many chinese poem nor use advance maths as other genius.
Should we send him to IQ test?  All we want is to help him out with his emotional and talkative problem, is this the first step?
