My daughter complained that the questions were too difficult ! Especially Chinese since the teacher asked her to read many sentences she didn't learn before. And for English, I think it was a bit difficult since they have to read out many vocabularies without pictures and complete some missing letters in a vocabularies ......... my goodness !!

So am I.  My daughter told me that the questions were
very difficult when compared with the other school that
she had intereview before.  I am a little bit disappointed
because I like the school.  But it seems that the school is not "suitable" for my daughter (perhaps the interview was so difficult for a 5 years old child)

I asked my son what questions were asked and he did not even know what they were.  Just mention ~ very difficult.

The feeling to KTS is GOOD.
My daughter say the teacher ask her:
1)For maths: 7-3=?
2)For Eng: What is your English Name?
3) For Chinese: some pictures with some chinese words, but she say she never learn those chinese in KG, so she can't answer it.

I think KTS knows that kind of question is quite difficult to a 5yrs old kid, the answer is not important, they want to know how the kid react to it.

For my view, the school wants to take the "top" students (in academic field).  But I am a little bit surprise that most of the children found it difficult

My daughter said the teacher gave her a picture with an umbrella and the word wrote U_brella .....
and the teacher pointed and said
"What is the missing letter ?"

Also she was being asked maths question about subtraction in 直式 ........ ?????

I will try to ask my son to forget this interview experience... it's sad he can't even repeat the questions.:cry:  

Yet,  people always say this school is good.  May I know why people say that?  Is it a very traditional school?  Is that becasue the in-take of students is very high?

Now I am not too concern about the result of the interview, just glad it's all over. I think the school know what type of student they want and they know how to select them based on their years of experience. One thing good about this school is there is only 1 interview, just too much pressure if need to go for a 2nd in.

問中、英、數？？ 我仔仔一樣都沒有提到，我問他有無串字，有無認字，他都話 '無'。老師問他姓名，爸爸媽媽做甚麼工作？ 之後就離開囉！
點解跟妳們這麼大分別？唔通..... 已經 '出局'！ 唉.....
昨日 DBS 又係這樣，仔仔又話沒有老師問他問題，看完 movie 又走得。 好難在阿仔身上套料..... 阿仔你有幾多成真呀...

我囡囡一入去見到操場佢都唔中意, 話好細

入去佢話簡單問題佢識答, 自己名, 幼稚園, 住邊, 父母職業, 搭咩車

但中文3句句子佢一句都唔識, 話全部冇學過, 好深 究竟係咩字呢

另外係加數, 佢話問左好多問題, 但佢唔記得啦

可能佢同呢間學校冇緣份

Totally agree with you.  Both of my daughter and me
have lots of pressure.  We even do not think about havinga second interview.  I think the chance for my daughter to get a second interview of TSL is so little.  

Same as you, I am not too concern about the results of
all the schools.  As my hubby said, I cannot control the
results.  If my daughter fails all of them, I will take the
lucky draw.  I do not think that I  can get a place in the
first round with only 15 points

我個囡一出來好唔開心, 話題目好深, 有幾條唔識. 結果我地無晒心機, 乜野都無再問老師, 俾佢玩多一陣(可能係最後一次入去呢間學校), 就走左.

套左好耐, 原來佢比人問左好多問題:
- 父母做乜工作
- 邊個帶佢面試
- 的士有乜顏色
- 紅/綠色的士入唔入到大嶼山
- 小巴幾多座位
- 小巴有邊幾種色
- 8-4?
- 讀2句句子: 第一句識(但唔記得), 第二句唔識: 司機服侍人們?
- 三個中文詞語重組句子: 媽媽 要做 家務?
- 三個英文詞語重組句子: Mummy is cooking?
- 四幅圖畫排次序講故事
- 英文串字/問題: 完全唔知問乜, 要亂撞

最後老師安慰囡囡, 話就算唔識都唔緊要啦. 囡囡答佢: 我覺得你好有愛心. 佢同我地講話鍾意學校的老師.

囡囡都有話老師比左個分數佢.

10.27 KTS 面試日簡直與嘉年華會無甚分別，除了沒有提供吹氣跳彈床、 小醜摙長條汽球和畫臉之外，幾乎乜都齊 ! 由於 Reception Counter 來者不拒，就算早預約時間個半鐘到、In 完賴死幾個鐘頭唔走都無人理。於是整個校園就熱鬧非常，前前後後碰到阿仔這三年來的各屆家長、兩公婆既同事、兩公婆既舊同學新舊鄰居等不下20個家庭，約都無咁齊 !! 不少人傾落都話至在睇睇小朋友中、英、數是否達到還是遠超全港水平云云，並非心儀對象。與前數天 BK 內有位家長說 KTS 是極多人報名但同時係極多人取錄都唔會讀的說法頗為吻合；跟其平房式設計一樣，是較奇特的一所小學 !!

言歸正傳，本人約於 11:00pm 在禮堂等太太仔仔面試完出來之際，聽到有位媽媽高 16 度大大聲同個女講：「亞女 !  我地係  唔會  讀  呢  間  學  校  架  ! 」她奇怪地把這句說話重覆了起碼4、5 次，顯然係有意說給在禮堂門口收飛的戴 Headset Mic 哥哥聽的。之後她對囡囡講：「唔識唔緊要 ! 如果 "油天" 收我地，我地一定唔會讀呢間架 !」OH ! 如此這般的言行，俾你亞女入到邊間學校都無用，"怎麼樣的家長就會教出怎麼樣的小孩"。

這位女士你放心好了，一定會 " 由 天 " 收的 !!!

我囝囝說老師問了他很多英文,但他全部都不懂答
中文就問他: 海X公園要他選個"洋"出來
數學就問他: 6+0=  / 2+6=
其他的就問:是誰帶你來學校，坐?交通公具，父母職業及姓名
我囝囝有說見到老師寫了"小朋友好?，到底那句是什麼
不過有這麼多小朋友面試而我囝囝一條英文題也答不到，我都打定輸數了

I heard from other moms that this school's academic standard is very high, not all kids can catch up with so there are lots of dropouts in P.2 and P.3. Also the school fee is not cheap too. But I personally don't know any kid studying there, maybe some other moms can clarify this.

My kid like the school envirnment so much, though he
found a bit difficult about questions, he said the teacher
is very friendly.  I also satisfied the arrangement, neat,
tidy, and sincere.
I  saw a parent's attitude not so good to the staff
(something about changing time), but the staff is quite
patient to deal with it. I think parents need to mind their
behaviour and wording infront of the kids. This father, this son.

I just wonder if they would categorize them into different ref. no.(group) and ask easier questions based on their age? It's just my wild guess.

My daughter also had the interview at 2:30pm, she said the questions are similar to what the moms said here.  She told me she answered all the questions and the male teacher said she is very good.

會唔會係睇埋小朋友既幼稚園,家庭,而面試既學術答案唔係佔太多分所以妳囝囝話唔識都ok呢

多謝妳既回應呀 我對阿囡既表現都唔知點形容好,因為佢平時咩都好有信心既,but係KTS既interview既表現,真係幾打擊佢既自信心,我都好內疚令到阿囡唔開心,HUBBY話如果真係考唔到好心水既小學,就等派位啦,因為唔想梗硬入D唔上唔落既,不如讀津校好過,因為我地既NET都OK既,所以佢都唔係太擔心,只係我,可能係媽咪啦,所以好緊張LAW

All schools want to select 'elite' students, but those kids normally would apply to 3 or more top schools, eventually, each student can only go to 1 school despite how many offers he got/hold. I am sure there will be lots of seats available in June for our 'average' kids, let's don't worry too much. I reckoned each time I took my son to interviews, I see familiar faces, because although each school said they have 1000, 2000 applicants, actually they are talking about the same group of applicants.

Our son had fever last Saturday suddenly 1 hr b4 interview and we have postponed the interview to this morning. We asked him a simple maths question (7-3=?) before interview and he could only answer us in a few seconds. Obviously, he had not recovered. Normally, he could answer us in 1-2 seconds. We also asked him some other questions he should know well but he swung his head. :cry:  We are so sad as we really hope he can study in this school. In this morning, we could see that the teachers there were so nice and our son said he likes this school. Hope that he could be lucky although he told his mom that he could not answer about 4 questions. The teachers there are so experienced in arranging interview and have taken care of our case like this.

本人提及的 "這校是極多人報名但同時係極多人取錄都唔會讀" 是引述 BK 另一位家長的講法，正如 gwan 剛剛 post 出來的說法，估計是 KTS 報讀人數極多(達 1,700 以上)，當中包括不少學術水平較高的學生，而他們被其他更心儀的學校取錄機會亦很高，故出現很多人就算被取錄亦因有其他更佳選擇而放棄註冊。

My son was also born in August.Interview was also arranged to ref.8, but at 9:30am on 27/10.

just wonder if your son's questions were very easy too? My son was ref.1. He said they asked him about head, shoulder and knees, I am just curious if my son was telling the truth because he always made up stories.........
