It is quite hard for kid to adapt to traditional grammar primary schoold since he/she already missed a lot of the Chinese class from kindergarten; not easy to catch up.

有朋友情況如下:
A -  幼稚園英基 > K.3 普通英文幼稚園 > P.1 直資
B -  幼稚園英基 > 小學英基 > P.4 津校
C -  幼稚園英基 > 小學耀中 > P.6 津校

I also know one changed to a top famous English govt school in Kln Tong since P.1 through the central lucky draw. The kid has studied upto upper primary now, she needs to take after-school private tutor classes for English as well as her English deteriates over the years.

A -  幼稚園英基 > K.3 普通英文幼稚園 > P.1 直資 St. paul (現p.2 近況不清楚, 早前有去學中文)
B -  幼稚園英基 > 小學英基 > P.4 津校 la salle (今年小五學校可選法文, 但在esf 的時間有去學中文, 父母在家有教中文)
C -  幼稚園英基 > 小學耀中 > P.6 津校屯門某小學 (小朋友話返學返得好開心, 但功課當然跟唔上)

Very simple, usually parents want their kids to learn more Chinese in local schools and can enjoy free or lower school fees.

請問(K.3 普通英文幼稚園), 請問講唔講得邊間幼稚園? k3插班會否跟唔上?
P1直資是邊間小學?

幼稚園 k3 是金巴倫,唔係好跟得上, 初時有些日子好唔想返學, 幾個月就好好多, 小朋友年紀少好易適應.
P1直資是聖保羅男女

hi Chu_family,

I also met a ESF mum before.

Her elder daughter is studying in ESF primary year 4. She is hard working and willing to learn Chinese, so her chinese standard is not bad.

Her younger daughter is studying in ESF kin K2. She resists to learn Chinese. Her mum is looking for a local kin for her to study K3. Her mum's target primary for her is St. Stephen (Stanley). Her mum will let the younger girl study in St. Stephen for 2 to 3 years and change back to ESF primary (because she is in Cat 1, it's not difficult for her to switch back).
