Yes, at least more and more people know this program.

it true?

No idea.

4/ Which school provides IB program in HK?

You can find in the website. But some DSS schools is preparing to provide IB as well.

hi chanls,

Many international schools in Hong Kong use IB. E.g. Chinese International School (MYP & DP), English Schools Foundation (PYP & DP), Kingston International School, etc. In addition, some good private schools also use IB. E.g. Victoria Shanghai Academy (PYP, MYP & DP) and ISF Academy (MYP & DP)

話樣事實俾大家知, 就係hkuga college早前宣佈有關學校申請ib結果, 係edb回覆, 由於直資學校有收政府資助, 應以提供本地課程為主, 所以唔可以批晒全部行ib, 而只可以批2班ib, 3班本地
可以預告, 其他直資學校亦將會面對同樣抉擇, 如果有了解ib課程, 會知道ib俾到學生一個選擇性, 如果一間學校, 要所有資源都分開local同ib兩份, 就會大大影響到ib本身所包含既靈活性 (簡單黎講, 無可能一間學校又開本地, 又開ib, 仲要ib班每一科都可以開唔同level黎俾學生選擇吧!)
基於以上原因, 亦因為唔想將學生標籤化(好似傑出學生至有份讀ib), hkuga college決定放棄ib, 全部行晒本地課程了

Sorry that I can't type chinese character at home.

If you want to know more about IB program in HK, you could search from www.ibo.org or there is a program in RTHK: www.rthk.org.hk/rthk/radio1/SmartParents/20070630.html.  The principal of St. Paul Co-ed talked about the pros and cons of IB and she explained which kind of students are suitable to the IB program! (actually some are not!!)

For the DSS, they can't apply IB program thoroughly because of the Ed. Bureau's policy.  However, St. Paul Co-ed and DBS are still working for the new program.  They will have two streams in upper forms (local and IB).

For the private schools, they have much more space for new development.  IB may be good to someones, but the standard and application of different schools/students is also a great consideration.
