今個星期六面試,小朋友咁細(1歲多d),可以看到什麼呢?或是主要看家長的教學理念與學校是否相同?由於是第一次面試,請俾d資料, 多謝!

我小朋友而家讀緊n1, 記得上年interview時老師問小朋友一d水果名, 會問小朋友個洋娃娃眼,耳, 口, 鼻起邊度, 叫小朋友指出位置, 砌吓積木..... 最後會比一份小禮物小朋友, 睇吓小朋友反應, 識唔識講多謝, byebye咁.....

多謝tungmother,我個女而家15個月大, 只係識講d單字,可以辨別水果但不能夠講出名稱,會唔會機會細d呢?

My son is also 15 months, but he doesn't know the name of the fruit even I told him many times.

He calls orange and lemon as ball ball.

He can't say bye bye and thank you. He only waves his hands if he likes.

Oh my god, hope the teacher will not be too harsh.

my daughter is the same as your son, 15 months, she
can say 'ma' & 'baba' only. know what the fruit is but cannot speak the name. don't know what can do.

My daughter attended the interview for N1 last year when she was 13 months. The teacher asked her to pick up the apple from a group of fruit and then gave it to her. My daughter could not pick up the apple as it was to heavy for her and she could only roll it to me instead of the teacher. The teacher asked her to point out yellow colour from the book. I think all these are too harsh for such a baby. My daughter eventually waved bye-bye to the teacher and she was accepted for pm class. Therefore, I think no need to be too worry.

However, I have not chosen this school because it's a bit too traditional and the arrangement during the interview was so poor that scared us.

We had to wait for more than 1 and a half hours for the interview and the arrangement for waiting was so poor. Fortunately, I chose to interview in English. Some of my friends chose to interview in Cantonese and they had to wait for more than 2 hours.

So, please get prepared.

我BB有21個人月大了,會講多D野,不過,見到陌生人就也怕羞,唔講野,已上了一年PG了,還是好怕陌生人!!

My children both went through similar interviews. I remember they hardly spoke, picked out the wrong fruit. We, parents feel terrible when our children did not act accordingly. Both the children and the interviewer probably don't see it the same way. We always feel they didn't give us a chance to show who our kid really is and how wonderful they are. That's our mother nature. But don't fret over this. I really don't think the interviewers were expecting the children could do what they asked. I think they want to see their reactions and how they interact. My children are happily in KCS for quite a while now.

Yes, they are somewhat traditional comparing to the international schools. Also, the nursery songs they sing are quite boring. (But that's we we think, the kids don't think it's boring, I assure you that.) Most teachers seem very loving, and the kindergarten is a happy place. I am happy that it gave my children a solid foundation on Chinese and Mandarin. It's a best gift that I could ask for.

What bothers me though (especially this year and I think the next few years down the road) is that the class size grew so much bigger than before.

I just finished the interview for local class today, the arrangement is better than I expected. My interview time was 9:30am, I arrived the school at 9:15am, then went to the class room to line up for registration, just wait a little while, around 9:35am, starting to interview, I got my interview done at 9:45am, then let my son play in the playgound for a while and left the school at 10:15am.

But I heard from the teacher that there is another batch for interview in Nov. Yon, maybe you will receive the letter later or better check with school lor.

I missed the interview this afternoon as well.

Rearrange the interview on Nov 3. I also want to know what is the interview about. My son is only 13.5 months. Does it mean he has little chance to get into pm class?

My son also could not answer the question properly, the teacher showed banana, apple and orange, asked my son to point out which one is apple, my son held my hand to point it, then he pointed the banana and orange, but not apple.

The teacher asked my son to point the page of the story book, he didn't do it, then I turned the page for him, hope that he will turn the next page, but then he closed the book.

My son only could follow one instruction, the teacher asked him to walk to the table and picked the toy he wanted, he walked to the table and play the toy, but then he went to the door.

I don't think there is any chance for my son to be accepted by KCS.

My bb went to interview too on Sat noon time. It's very smooth. Questions are same as what mummy said here. I think all babies can't do the instructions and so we take it easy.

My bb didn't say a word except apple in the end.

My friend's bb attended N1 there and she needs to attend K1 interview last sunday (not today) and so it's not directly promoted to K1. Really headache.

My experience on Sat:
My daughter picks up the Apple and saying "Apple", and then picking the orange on other hand. I asked her to give me the Apple, then she gave me. Then, the teacher asked her to drawing, how come 15 months can pick up pen to drawing something on white paper?
Finally, my daugher picks up the crayons one by one only.
Then, the teacher asked her to put a circle into a hole, of course, my daughter interested in playing the hole, put fingers to inside through the hole but not placingthe circle into it.
What terrible is my daughter plays the toys on the table and then pour some of them to the floor.

Then, the teacher asked her to pick up a grape to see if she can put into the mouth by herself...a grape...so big.. how she can swallow???? Then, I say to pick up a small piece of biscuit insteads, ..my daugher eat it by herself and then she picks the grape again to see!!!

My daughter saying "Bye Bye" and wave the teacher at the end of the interview.

My husband and I feel that the interview is too harsh but we are not sure if my daughter is right good enough or not?

My son is also 15 months. He did not say a word and point out where was his nose and eyes. He only picked up the crayon to draw and walked to the table to play toys.

N1 school fee for this year is HK$2900. KCS is very nice, they will not ask for the deposit (1st month school fee) until March or April (can't remember exactly).

我bb上星期六都有去了interview,,,,我bb20個月(後天21個月)重唔講野, interview個陣當然只係依依叫叫啦, 一定扣分啦, 叫佢砌積木又唔識, 又唔記得say goodbye, 老師叫佢拿snack食, 佢轉個頭又比左我食, ... 完全唔聽人講... 死定啦,其他既晝晝啦, 分apple, orange都ok,,,
間校舍好正呀, 不過唔知會唔會親中多d呢? 聽人講d老師又唔係好照顧d小朋友, 唔知係咪真呢?

我囡囡19個月, interview時咩都識做啦, 但係我猜依家既interview唔係睇你識唔識做, 係睇bb既反應, 唔識做都唔代表咩既, 我諗佢地係想睇到bb這些事情及有無好奇心, 主動學習~睇好多名校收生都係講這些東西!

我囡囡就無咩反應比到老師, wave hand say goodbye都沒有望住老師, 老師叫佢做既野要講多一, 兩次才郁, 所以都唔知得唔得!!

聽講收得好少, 知道K1有成600多人, 收得百幾個, 即係6份1機會啦! 唔知N1收幾多呢??

My son is 18 months, I know he is able to do all the tasks(pick the apple, open the book, find out which one's a cow....) because he already knew this a couple months ago.

However, my son is such a trouble boy that he will only listen to those friendly to him. He is okay with anybody as long as you smile to him and talk to him nicely. Unluckily on that day, our interviewer (a foreign teacher) was tough and inpatient (may be she's already tired to interview). Her voice was so cool. So my son didn't look at her at all. Instead he wanted to go to the other teacher next to us, because that one looks much more friendly. He just did 1-2 tasks and then ran straight to the toys table and did not return.

I think not much chance la......

Doesn't need to scare ah. The teacher will ask how old is your boy at the beginning. So the instruction given should be easier for small boy. Also, I think they concern their attitude more than anything. My boy understood the instruction but didn't follow is worse than he didn't understand.

我囡囡屬細b(0610), 依家才一歲, 在9月已入application form報讀N1. 可惜上星期我收到蘇浙既電話, 唔係安排interview, 而係話我亞囡太細, 就算出年9月都未夠2歲, 暫時唔會安排interview, 作waiting list. 等2008年開學後, 有學生退學才再安排.
