If they do all homework and pre-dictation at school. We dont have any pressure. We just play memory card, reading newspaper everyday.

So I prefer all their homework must be finished at school and we enjoy the homelife with our kids. It can save much time to watch their homework. We found no more honeymoon in all govertment/private primary.

How to change this tranditional study into new creative study?
Suggustion:
- Draw more picture and let them to create more funny stories after school.
- Do some science experiments at home
- School Project Approach
- Deep thinking & Musical Dancing

- 1hr Sleep after lunch

I found all primary students wake up so earily and they are all very tired in the afternoon (6am-12pm, so long time but they have to study from 1pm-3pm) For me, I must sleep after lunch too...hehehe

In China, they all have 2hrs lunch & Rest Time.
Can we do that? 30-45mins lunch-sleep is fine .

In primary, how to memory 50words in a week?

I found he learnt over 100 new words in the first two months and he have to dictate so many new words.

Any memory course for age 6 kids?

I found kids are good memory than adult. He write all the words in a notebook and read and spell everyday. Or stick them on the wall, it is more easy to memory.

He just sit down on the sofa and read the words and we played "teacher and student" I write 20 - 40 question on the blackboard and he write the answer.

e.g.:
go - goes - going -went
arrive -arrives - arriving - arrived
buy - buys - buying - bought
catch - catches - catching - caught
......

Fun Games! Give him 3 stars. If he get wrong. he will lose one star.

No hard dictation.

I think there is no need to attend any kinds of memory course. You may just arrange the kid to learn the basic phonic techniques if he hasn't learnt before and then encourage him to have more reading ...

If you want me to say something, I think happy learning is very important.  They can play a lot of memory games at home. Draw somethings or vocab. on a paper and create some matching games or spelling games.  He wrote me a question of 2x2=? 3x3=? 4x4=? 5x5=? 6x6=? ....
We can try to ask them a password, then let him go into the room.
The password may be a number or vacabs (How to spell December?) It is fun!
Chinese words study or revision:
write the half size and let them complete the word by themself.  They can create a lot or chinese words by themself.
Dictation.  We write one and they write one , to see who is the winner.

Speaking English together , I pretented John, he pretented Tom and talking each other every morning.

Potunghua Training: In the evening, we are so relaxing and speak somethings in a sentences.

Science Concept : They can play water during taking a bath and do some experiences : cups, soup, bubbles, straw, balloon, towel or some plastic bottles or toys.

Engineer Concept: see some cable TV  - study how to make a car or renew the old car to be new. How to make an engine? He always asks me.  To see some knowledges channel during night time.

Computer online: After dinner, they can enjoy their online games or watch some news with parents.

Reading time : Before bedtime, we can read together above science, stories, poams .....etc

PlayTime with Daddy: use 10 mins to play some legos or racing cars with Daddy.  He remembers that he must do the last games with Daddy before brushing the teeth.

Have a nice dream! He never forget to say good night to me and kiss me .  We must say I love you!

Be a parent is not easy, I just keep on learning and find the best way.

Time Management and select good films are very important to our little kids.
