Any suggestion whether it is better to study in Australia or in New Zealand for secondary school? My sons are 10
years old and are studying in local school but English is
bad. I am struggling where should I send them to. (I hv no friends or relative in both countries).

我係stay 係AUCKLAND
nz 的中學通常都係分男學校和女學校
如果男學校，AUCKLAND BOY GRAMMAR SCHOOL 係幾出名的學校，佢未去到貴族學校的GRADE，但出黎學生都不錯
但如果你係OVERSEA身份去搵學校，咁就要睇下佢同貴族學校差幾多學費，如果唔係好多，咁去貴族學校讀會係好D

如果讀大學，AUCKLAND U 會係最多人入的學校，但如果你係讀其他醫學科目，咁就南島的大學比較好，所以要睇你讀咩...

son's english is not good (that is why I want to send him aboard so early because most of my friends said that it is better to send him after F.3 but I think the requirement
for F.3 will be more than for a P.6 student)

How did you get in the school (through agent or by
yourself)? If you are through agent, can you let me know whether it is good or not.

如沒朋友or親戚係nz，咁auckland 會係最好的地方~因飛機場係auckland，而且因華人比較多，你地去探佢，會容易安排同方便

Gisborn Boys High School <--係Gisborn, 唔係auckland，如由auckland 去Gisborn, 我諗要4-5個鐘車程

Wanganui City College仲要遠......

AUCKLAND BOY GRAMMAR SCHOOL 有寄宿，你可以問下，
agent 幫你地睇的學校都好遠，而且係無咩華人去的town 黎架!!

我自己本來係oversea，之後屋企移民就變左公民~~

除左寄宿，nz 有d 外國人會收oversea student 寄宿係佢地屋企，華人會有，我地會叫依d做"home stay". 有時學校可以幫你地安排依個服務

我個仔出年08Feb會去Whangaparaoa
School study year 1
(08年他剛好7 years old)

1. Is this school good?
2. 我brother + sister in law係公民, 因他們的BB is going to
deliver in Mar 08, so they call my Mum to take care the
baby next year. My Mum is going to stay for more than 3 years. (他們說用3個月旅遊visa入境, then 再出信話she needs to take care for the new born baby etc....very easy to
extend the visa in that case for my Mum) Now the
problem is my son always stay with my Mum, thats why he is going to stay in NZ also. The school take his offer,
but when I go to Embrass to apply the student visa for
my son for a year, they need to see my bank statement
for more that 3 months to see my financial support. All of my money is in malaysia (We are malaysian). So I
transferred the money 30000NZ (Is it enough?) in HK in
Oct 07. That meant I only can apply the student visa in
late Jan (too late). My son air ticket on the 07 Jan 08. So my son also take 3 months journey visa and take the 1st sem in that school. My brother will do the student visa for him to extend in NZ. 唔好意思, 打咁鬼長, 我都係想問is it
easy in my son case? We are going to use the reason of
trial study in 1st sem, now he like it very much, so would
like to apply for 9 more months.)

你囝囝現在才F.1 英文吾好咪去到慢慢學囉, 年績咁細, 學校一般要求吾會好高, 就連英國都係啦... 所以佢好有机會入到D好中學, 吾駛擔心喎...有D學校會要小朋友考AEAS test, 但吾係間間都要.

I dont know about the school actually but I saw heaps of Islanders in this district.係N.Z.11 歲會上Intermediate2年(year 7 & 8), 13歲會上college(Year 9-13). 其實我諗小朋友會好容易適應, 只要佢覺得爸媽愛錫佢就係最大的支持

我覺得佢一路有進步(因好在Term Break 會留在我屋企), 而且校風唔錯, 同你其實可以自己apply, 因我唔知學費, 你可以在學校的web-site 問吓, 佢地多數鍾意收International 的學生
