There is no banding for primary school, but for its secondary school, it must be band 1 as the teaching medium is English.

I do not know any website for the school "Brand"..sorry.

Two more points you could also think of :

1. Raimondi will move to Wanchai area 2008/9, will it be more closer or further away from your home ?

2. Raimondi used Mandarin for their Chinese Lesson

Math is divided into two subjects, one is English Math the other Chinese Math. If the kid is weak in Math or doesn't like Math, he may feel hard. Just one more point for you to consider...

St Jo vs Ramondi, of course choose St Jo! St Jo is free of charge and its secondary school is good too, no need to change to another secondary school.

聖經 is in chinese.
考試要唔要考 - this one I cannot remember...

From the syllabus, I feel that the purpose of primary studies is more on helping kids to lay a good foundation in languages. That's why they have Math in both Chinese & English. That's actually a very nice idea, cos children could have more chance to apply the language. do you agree?
I haven't experienced any tests or exams yet, there're only regular assessment and the questions are very manageable. I don't think this would create extra burden to the kids. The only concern I am having is that full day school for a six year old kid is too much. I could only see his sleepy eyes when I come home from work. But this is unavoidable, people advocate full day school nowadays...

Hi ratafan, nice to see you here again. I agree, I think language skill is important. This is why I like Raimondi, having Chinese and English General Studies, Chinese and English Math, Chinese language taught in Putonghua, Chinese usage and composition taught in Cantonese.
