How old is your daughter? For kids in kindergarten,
maybe the hand muscles are not well developed.
Just be patient and takes time to practise. For kids
in primary school, teach her how to write the characters
in good proportion, stroke by stroke.

my daughter is K3 now. Her teacher complains that her words are urgly. I tried my best to teach her how to put the chinese word inside the square already.
however, she will cry if you rub out all the words that she wrote down!

Erasing all her work is very discouraging and is not
recommended.  Can you imagine if your boss
return your work every time and ask you to
redo it again.  How would you feel?  Ask her
to pick 3 - 4 words that she thinks is not good
enough and write them again.  This way she
is in control and she can make her own judgement.
At the same time, teach her the right proportion
of the words.  You may even hold her hands and
show her how to write a word in a 'nice' way.
