I received the phone call for 2nd interview on 7Sep and the 2nd interview was held on 14Sep. Then I received the confirmation letter this monday.

Just curious. There are still a lots of parents waiting for the 2nd interview notice, how can school confirmed the admission of the students so soon. It seems not so fair to those who are taking 2nd interview in a later stage.

According to the instruction by the secretary, the 2nd interview for the first round were held on 14 & 15 Sep (two whole days) and the result will be announced within one week.

我都有想過這個問題, 但負面新聞似乎是避不了的.
愈出名愈出色愈走來前的往往都會是其他競爭者的公敵, 負面新聞一定會多, 但要看看在負面新聞中, 是否有力證及是否有家長為學校評返了. 而另一個我想的, 可能是因丘校長本身太自信, 光發得太亮也會引來他人不滿的. 入讀與否, 都只有憑信心咋.
而我信心比較大是因為我有2朋友的分別4個仔女都讀緊, 如果唔好, 他們2個家庭斷不會也同樣把第二名子女也送入去讀, 係咪? 而我也有另一個朋友的囡也今年入讀了.

開校早期，送子女入讀真道，的確只憑信心。但學校至今已踏進第六個年頭，如果真的單憑校長的理念、遠見，而他遲遲還未能把承諾兌現的話，我想不用到第三個學年，大部分的家長都一定會為子女另覓學校。事實是，要走的都已經走了。反過來看，這幾年，如果不是校長的堅持，加上校董會的支持，真道根本沒有生存的空間，哪裏會有這麽多家長讓子女入讀？哪裏有這麽優秀的教師隊伍？今年學生人數已接近1,600人，怎可能單憑信心？當然，學校還有很多改善的空間，作爲家長是理解的。邱校長其實平易近人，但他的一份堅持，常常被人誤會太自負。校長性格開朗，尤其樂於與家長分享，可能就是這樣，往往在説話中稍有差異，就馬上被人看作負面來造謠。在香港，好學校多不勝數，能為自己孩子選一所適合的學校是最重要的。最後，預祝你的孩子順利入讀真道。

我真的單憑信心, 就算任何學校都好, 因為未入讀都未能sure是否適合, 所有事都只是聽回來的, 簡介會也是"聽"的, 不是自己經歷, 試問不憑信心憑什麼呢? 難道有試讀班嗎? 就算別人仔女讀得好, 也未必自己仔女會適合, 相反, 別人仔女讀得不好, 也未必自己仔女不適合, 是嗎?
相信可能有家長係入讀前未清楚知道真道的教法, 不知道測驗完後不會派卷(和香港其他學校很不同), 沒功課(和香港其他學校很不同) 等等不瞭解, 所以和他們瞭解有分別, 接受不了啦. 所以最重要係瞭解多一點, 看看是否與自己期望一致先係要點. 再看看對學校有多大信心才決定. 凡事無絕對, 只在乎你的睇法而矣.

希望每位小朋友也能入到適合自己的學校過著美好的童年啦!

I also shock by this news. Why not interview all or much more and then announce the acceptance list.

It may because the 2nd interview is not so much important. They already choose some target children already and then date a 2nd interview, if not so much problem within the interview, I think they will accept this child.

Any exception can share here. i.e. already take the 2nd interview and still waiting for notification.

我仔仔 first interview 係 30/6, 收到 2nd interview 電話係 7/9, 2nd interview 係 14/9... 17/9 就收到 confirmation letter...

據我所知(其實係2nd interview 當日個秘書小姐講既), 2nd interview 係o向 14/9 及 15/9 兩日全日舉行, 校長會於一週內發信通知結果.... 其實 2nd interview 當日, 仔仔扭眼訓, 一句都無答校長, 仲坐唔定, 咩曳野都show 晒出來, 我地本來打定輸數, 點知又收左.... 不過, 有朋友說 : 有機會 2nd interview 其實已經代表99%收....

我都希望大家都快d 有消息啦

just finished the 2nd interview. it only takes a few minutes. I felt very nervous and Mr. Yau only ask 1 question. Is it a formality? or our answer doesn't meet his expectation?

Just out of curiosity, for those of your son/daughter who has been accepted by Logos, is he/she studying in a kindergarten WITHOUT "through-train/direct connection" to a specific primary school?

The reason for asking is that it is unclear whether Logos prefers accepting those bright kids without "apparent dilemma in choosing which primary school to go".

I received phone call for 2nd interview around 12 or 13/9.
The 1st time slot allocated was on 18/9 but my husband was not OK (the instruction was that both parents must be present), so the lady offered an alternative on the 20/9.

We received acceptance letter on 22/9. The letter was sent out on 20/9. I guess, they tend to inform the outcome immediately. I like it. This relieved me.

In my understanding, Principal Yau cares if the Potential parents really understand the school's education thinking, the real situation so that it will not get marry due to mis-understanding. "through-train/direct connection" is not the key.

我們都是2nd interview 後收到信被取錄. 其實我地很欣賞校長很有誠意去見每個family, 亦很希望小朋友可愉快學習......, 但現在仍15/16, 因為我地怕學校太 free, 而我地的小朋友是很易心散的人, 怕他在沒有約束下會變本加厲, 因曾經 "聽聞" 話老師不會追學生功課, 如學生不交, 老師不會罸

I just want to have more information on the Logos in the following areas:

1. does the school emphasize the moral education of child and how it conduct the education just through the morning assembly and bible lesson only?
(from the forum in BK, it seems that seldom debate is on the moral part)

2. does the school emphasize more on the academic side rather than the moral side?

3. since the classes are conducted in Chinese in the first 3 or four years, how is the English standard in general ?

4.the school tried to train self awaraness, independence for the child, does bully serious in school? will teacher help?

5. as the first 2 years are quite easy for the child and let them have the feeling of happy learning, would child find it difficult to adapt to the courses starting from year 3?

Hope that parents of Logos just give us some useful information.

we have met principal yau yesterday afternoon. the interview last 10 mins only

while others two family ahead us have spent 20-30 mins in the room. does it mean we have less chance

so worried than to interview for a job

Logos paid attention to moral education, but not in a “strict approach”.
They do have “moral lesson”, “bible lesson”, “Singing Assembly” to nurture the kids’ heart.
However, it also expects parents’ guidance as it is the best way to influence the kids.

Both.
It also gives talks to parents for how to bring up the kids.
It may be tailor-made for the same form/level of the students.

In my viewpoint, the P1-6 students (the group of students are brought up by Logos from day 1) are active and energetic, not “bully”.

Happy learning does not imply learning nothing.
The course of the 1st two year is not easy, but the teaching techniques help them feeling “happy”.
