Dear all,

Would you mind to let me know which ESF kindergarten that I should choose for my child? (Abacus or TY, as I live in Tokwawan District)

Beside, if I don't let him study in ESF kindergarten, the chance to be admitted by its primary school will be much lower?

tokwawan,

For tokwanwan, you should apply Tsing Yi ESF Kinder.

If study at ESF kinder, the chance will be higher (as mentioned by ESF website).

However, if the child study at other international kinder, the chance will be high too. For example, the kinder which my child studying at, ESF will send someone to the kinder to observe the children and interview. The % of entering ESF is very high too. And of course, it is no problem for them to communicate in English during interview.

In addition, the catchment zone is also a main effect. For ESF primary (SJS, BHS) which includes the area of New Territories, the compeition seems higher as the zone seems bigger and therefore applicants will be more.
