Hi all,
I've not a TTSKG parent yet but I'm very interested in putting my little boy into the international class of this kindergarten.  May I know what you think about this school (particularly international class)?
1) Is the English standard good (kids are fluent in English)?
2) How about the Chinese standard (do the kids have standard as those in the local stream)?
3) Are the NET professional?
4) Are your children happy in school?
5) Which primary school do you plan to put your children in and why?
6) Any other good/bad comment you have about this school?

Sorry for so many questions.  Hope you could give me some idea as I am seriously considering to put my little boy in this school.

我仔係向主流班讀左兩年, 今年k3才轉國際班.
係主流兩年都有係學校多學一小時英文, 但唔係太理想,
於是今年轉左國際班, 仔仔係英文及普通話方面都
有進步, 而且崇真係本地化國際班, 所以唔驚接唔到出面學 ...

Hi, Ms Tang,

My daughter studing in TT (Main Stream class) K1 this year. Before, she always speak English at home, because she take care by domestic helper when she was a newborn until now. (My helper alway speak with her in English but me & my hushand will speak both language with her). Therefore, we put her in main stream class because we think that we already habit speak English at home. (Also we don't know IK Class can use School Voucher when we are enrollment of this school) When she starting go to school, she doesn't like to speak English even with the helper she also speak Contonese . May I ask some about International Class. Is K2 & K3 only full day class. Do I have to take International Class, if planning study in TT Primary School ?? (Because International Class quite expensive). Would you tell me about the different with IK class with the main stream. I hear that you have take 1 hr exra english playgroup in TT everyday still not work. pls adv.

k1只係有半日班.

Thanks for your reply. How is the English standard (in interenational stream) of 崇真 as compared with those popular kindergartens in Kowloon Tong (e.g. St Catherine, York, Victoria etc)? Is 崇真 primary school (international stream) good? Heard that 崇真 secondary school (the "through-train one) is quite new and only Band 2. Do you worry about this?

My daughter is also studying in IK3. Sorry that I don't know how to type chinese.
Just want you to know the main stream primary has many students in one class. I heard in P.1 is 30 but in P.2 wil be 38 since they squeeze 5 classes into 4.
Regarding IB, what I saw from the school booklet is all IB worksheet will keep in school and we can only review in school since this is school asset. They are manly study local syllabis. So no need to worry. I just worry their school start very early 7:45am so my daughter have to wake up very early. Did you receive confirmation letter of primary 1? They said result w/b given within 2 weeks after interview.

呵呵, 我有3個小朋友, 大仔 J2F, 女女J1F, 細仔IK2. J2F今年都係27人, 走左3個, 來左3個, 人數不變. J1F好像31 (or 30). 功課都未算好多. 佢地通常可以係1小時內做完, 不過我女女就好行貨, 亂做, 因為我要佢地做完功課先可以陪我去接細佬及去玩.

我剛收到信.

I am very disppointed/upset because I rcvd call from school tonight saying my daughter needs to interview againn on May for international Junior. she said the interview teacher's cmmts is my daughter's performance seems too young during interview. That's why she give her one more chance to interview on May when she is older. I never thought that I rcvd such result. I asked her what is the mean of "too young" and she said may be my daughter didn't answer most questions. I told her my daughter is studying in this school so the class teacher should know well on her performance for coming months. Why she still need interview on may and school make decision by a short time interview. She can't answer me but keep saying they want to give a chance to her. I feel like they want to see if any smart children is coming for interview and take international class. If finally not enough student, then they will accept my girl. Her accessment in IK2 is very good (all triangle) so I never thot that she will have problem to get a seat.

學校仲有第二, 及第三次面試個喎.

but the one who call me said she will arrange interview on coming May. So it's not my choice to move up the interview. I have to well prepare for the interview of other schools and hope she can get a seat and no need to wait for Tsung tsin.

您好, 我個女-都入讀明年Ik1.
入讀崇真的原因是:過去就讀過的家長口碑好好, 小孩在家都會說英文及國語. 只有一班國際班, 小班制 UNDER20個學生一班 (朋友個仔今年讀緊). 一位外籍教師為班主任, 另外有一位國語教師及一位本地教師, 外籍班主任能夠TAKE CARE到各學生的學習及情緒問題. 經常致電家長報告學生的學習及情緒狀況. 學費是$3XXX.00

但出年開始開辦兩班, 設有學券制, 學費下調至$2XXX.00 但就只有一位外籍教師兩邊走, 這班教英文時另一班教國語(已不知她能否再做班主任了), 最慘是每班有25-30人, 還是小班教學嗎???

我有致電崇真查詢有關以上安排會否導致教育質素下滑, 她們只說您自己考慮吓拉. 這令我要再考慮一吓!
