My son is 4 years old and I would like to enroll the English Course (for kids) in British Council. Any parents or kids have joined such. Is it good & worth to join ? It need $3,700 fee for 18 lessons. Please share your comment.

My kid is almost 3 now. I'd also like to join this course before. But it seems that 2.5-5yrs children will be put together in same class. Is it good or not? I just worry about the progress of the course will be affected.
Please any parents who joined tell the comment.

Hey, don't worry. I choose this because this is one of the reason. The advantage of this is to let the kids playing together. It will help them to build up their social skill. For a bigger kids, they can learn how to take care the youngest. This is a permant class. From K1-K3 kids, then go to P1 class. Let's join together. But the course starting from 1 Sep (on Sat / Sun) is full, so I will join in from next term which is starting from Feb 2008. Hope to see you too.

My son have just finished summer course .And he enjoyed the course very much .so i have applied any other course for him.

So please advise if this is a good course and is worth to join. All the Sat & Sun classes are full already and I need to wait for the next term which is starting from Feb 2008. I am sure I will enroll such for my son if your comment is positive. Thanks a lot.

My girl joined BC since 2.5 yrs, she completed Bright
Start, K1 and Jul & Aug Summer courses there.  BC is a
good brand, the teachers who taught my girl were from
the UK with the proper English accent.  We give support to her at home by speaking to her in English and do a lot of
reading with her.  So far I think BC is good and she will
continue K2 English in Sept.  But the class size is 1:12
which I think there are too many.  Sat & Sun classes're
filled easily given the priority will be given to current
students, you need to apply as early as possible once its
open to public/new students.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, the staff told me that the next Term will be started for enrollment by around Dec. Please kindly help to put an eye on this & inform me when the new Term is started for enrollment. Please pm me for such when they are ready.

My daugter started her class yesterday. She didn’t cry at all, as there are lots of toys and books in the room.
There’s 1 girl crying, and the teacher ask the Mommy to stay inside with her.
And was settled a while later.
Yesterday theme is shape and colour.
And when I asked my daughter what did she do, she said: draw triangle, rectangle.
And I repeat: Oh you paint a triangle.
She said: No, I draw a triangle, no painting.

They have 1 foreigner teacher, 1 teaching assistant, 1 “sum sum” lady in the classroom.
I’ve talked with the teacher.
She seems very nice.
And said the class is willing to participate and some children can respond with single words, or 2-3 words.
And she said that’s quite good.
So, it’s a learn-through-play approach, I like this style for my daughter, cos’ she cannot sit-still to learn.
