怎樣知道教琴老師是否有料 ?

分辨鋼琴老師學歷的方法

香港的鋼琴老師所持的"演奏級", 其實是有幾個種類的, 全是八級以上的程度.

倫敦聖三一音樂學院:
由易到難分別為: ATCL , LTCL , FTCL

英國皇家音樂學院:
由易到難分別為: dipABRSM, dipLRSM, dipFRSM

ATCL 是最多人考到的"演奏級" , 因為 ATCL 的程度及考試要求是這6 個中最易的了, 所以, 大部份所謂"演奏級", 若果沒有註明,通常就是 ATCL. 有興趣的話可以問老師的考試分數, 100分為合格, 120 為Merit, 130為 Distinction, 150 是滿分. 近年評分緊了不少, .. 若是僅僅合格, 你便可心裡有數了.

個人認為, 老師若雍有 LTCL, 或 dipABRSM, 已是不錯的了.
另外, 香港的老師大部分都是考聖三一,為什麼呢?
其實是因為, 皇家的考試是比較難一點, 因為, 除了要識彈和識寫programme note 之外, 還多了Aural 這一part, 外藉考官會即塲問妳一些問題,考你對曲目的了解有多少.

以我所見, 有能力考皇家的考生通常是大學音樂系畢業生或學生.

This is the ABRSM graded exam marking scheme, not for Trinity Diplomas.

補充小小, 3張dip 正確名稱係 Associate, Licentiate and Fellowship diplomas, 後面既字母只係代表由邊個機構簽發.

3種程度既dip 仲會再分performing, teaching, directing, 係HK話文憑級一般泛指performing diploma, 聖三一再會張performing 細分開performance/recital 2種.

呢3個程度100分已經係滿分, 但Trinity/ABRSM 既criteria 唔同.
Certificate 上唔會有分數喇. 但一定會寫明係邊個exam.
Associate, Licentiate 既grading 係Pass / Pass with distinction
Fellowship 係Approved / Not Approved.

仲有d 舊制exam, 好似Advanced Certificate, 其實接近DipABRSM(Associate Diploma), 數埋呢d 就好混亂, 唔講至喇

Besides all the professional qualification, I think "experience" is very important too. You might want to check whether the tutor has taught in schools as school usually has pretty strict requirement on tutors' experience.

You can summaraize your requirements and get some agencies to find private tutor for you. It is usually FREE for students. You can PM me if you want some suggestions.

Also tutors in 琴行 are usually less professional. Good tutors won't work in 琴行 as 50% of their tutor fee is taken by the 琴行.
