好快就要報小學了，我有兩個地址可用，心大心細唔知報KJS or BHS好。
KJS有又新又大嘅校舍；BHS雖小，會family d.
大家對呢兩間學校有冇應識呢？可以俾d意見嗎？

It is hard to tell which one is better as each family is different.  

Every ESF is more or less similar but definitely not the same.  You may go to their web sites and arrange visits to these schools to feel and see which one fits your family and your child more.  

Go for the one that fit better as you can't really know how the outcome turns out to be.

We applied BHS though we liked the bigger campus of KJS.  Luckily, my girl got accepted by BHS as well.

We are happy with BHS and our friend is happy with KJS as well.  

All in all, they are all good schools.

Thx. We will take the school tour later. In primary school stage, i think small campus with family like caring is good.

Moving on to which secondary school does not depend on which primary a student goes to.  Instead, it depends on the "catchment area".  For BHS, the demographics is about 5% - East Kowloon (Shatin or east), 45% - Central Kowloon, and 55% - West Kowloon (Gold Coast, Tusen Wan, Tuenmun..).  Accordingly, 5% goes to Shatin College, 45% goes to KGV, and 55% goes to Island School.

By the way, please do not compare ESF schools.  ESF runs all its schools the same way, and does not let any one school slip through the crack.  They work to ensure the standard of each school.  One should feel very lucky for being accepted to any one of the ESF schools.  

The primary concern for choosing a school is the distance of the school to your home.  Research after research show that children who get enough sleep and eat breakfast significantly outperform those who are lack of sleep and do not eat breakfast.  Gaining an extra half an hour, or even just 15 minutes, of sleep/breakfast time for your children in the morning is far more important to sending your children to a "top-notch" school (howsoever one defines it.)

Sorry, a little addition problem.  It should be:

Accordingly, 5% goes to Shatin College, 45% goes to KGV, and 50% goes to Island School.

Ohh... Yes. I'm living in Gold Coast area and you mentioned 50% of BHS students go to Island school, right? That explain what I've observed .... weekday 3:30pm, there are a group of Island school students waiting 962B in central area. They are backing to Gold Coast area! :)

BTW, why not KGV for western kln ? .... Island school seems far away though I guess the commute time by school bus are similar ....

As there are only two secondary schools on kowloon side which cannot accommodate all students residing on kowloon side hence those tuen mun, tsing Yi and partial of west kowloon fall under island school. You may go to the PTA section of island school and you can find the school bus route with boarding time . School bus from west kowloon to the school is about 30 mins
