這只是最低。即係取得37分，都不一定入得到。

要入醫學院，每科目標都要定在5**，那樣一、二科些微失手，都重有望入到。

注：2012 - 36, 2013 - 37, 2014 - 未知

早幾年起碼要4科A
要求5科要有5**

其實真係唔需要咁高。只要看一看每年有多少3A，有多少4**就知。以前3A入港大2A入中大穩陣。

Take 4C + 2X = 36 as threshold grade for both Medic Schools
I don't think 37 is the min., lower than that.

不過你要留意 Small Print. 那些分數只代表第一批的 offer (Main round offer，有人唔制，成績會一路趺落去！

HKU: 4 + 2X: minimum 36.
CU: 4 +3x (M1/M2 taken into account in some cases): cut-off line for interview 41 ( several candidates with 40.5 were admitted because of prior good interview performance before the disclosure of DSE results, recommended by their school principals )

Medical schools only gave offers in the main round of jupas, they sometimes admit candidates who appeal successfully in their dse results, eg. from 40 upgraded to 41, after satisfactory interview performance. Any vacancies arising because some students give up will be relocated to non-jupas. But usually only very rarely is a place given up and so these places can easily be filled up by the appealing case. Thus, medical schools probaly never admit students in the left over round as the good students are already admitted by their 2nd choices in the jupas.

I am more familiar with NJ, as some students can have more than one offers.

去年，以6科最高25%, 50%, 最低25%和最低分數計：
港大: 39,38,37,36.
中大*:37,36,35 (中大無公佈最低分).

以最高25%分計，港大39分，平均6.5, 即3科5**，3科5*。中大37分，平均6,17, 即1科5**，5科5* 即可。所以，兩大醫科收生不是傳說咁高。

今年，港大公佈會收75%DSE學生，我預計收生大致都係(39,38,37,36)。中大話唔設限，大概也是(37,36,35)咁上下，别忘記佢冇公佈最低分數，分分鐘33,34都人到。34即多少:5個5*加两個5。

注：中大公佈7科，港大公佈6科，為方便此較，一律以6科計。

cu medic cut-off score for interview was 41. Theoretically the lowest possible score of 4+2x was 34 + 5** for the 3rd subject.
Without a third subject, a student with a score of 40 (4 個5** 2個5*） was not even granted a chance for an interview. It is quite brainless to state that a student with 33, 34 can be admitted to medicine.

根据考評局出版的2013年成績，考获5科5*嘅成績大有795人。34分，即5個5*加两個5，唔係小嘢。别忘記唔係人人都想考"神科"，别忘記唔係人人有考化學等理科。

37,36,35 (最高25%, 50%, 最低25%).係從中大公佈分數計出。我估最低34都合理。

中大公佈7科，港大公佈6科。你估考入港大的第7科或少於中大麽？

I am not familiar with JUPAS system, but I suspect that so long as you meet a minimum requirement (for example, 35, 36 or 37), the tie breaker on the lowest group would depend on her facts such as the performance in the interview and his/her passion on medicine.

讀書，最重要揾最喜歡的。幾年前無人報電腦，但我的做電腦朋友，無不揾到豐厚收入。我有两侄仔讀中大、港大精算，今年實習，晚晚十一點到才回到家中。佢地話，依家做工程嘅，好景過佢地好多。

不過，如要考"神科"的，最好上网自已看資料。DSE係一個好難考嘅試，競爭對手是港人，好多科只有10%左右嘅人考到5嘅成績。考到5己很好，别在這里俾人吓一吓而唔敢報。

CU's calculation is a bit complicated.

In GPS, HKDSE 45/47 base on 7 subjects. IB, 44/45 base on IBDP. Reasonable comparison.

After reading the admission notes, you are correct. I attached the link in another post.
For 2 electives only, the 3rd elective will be counted as 0, even 40/42, the chance for interview can be 0.
