我仔是大B,有幸收到3間最心儀Offers,好難揀,想請教各位mama意見.
我仔很喜歡認字/數字/鐘/物件/拼圖,對話麻麻(但樣子可愛),英文好(喜歡串字),感覺他是學術型,我們想他學得more outgoing+presentable,想他考傳統名校,請問你們會揀邊間,thanks!

My top 5 PN for boys: St Cat, Victoria, KM, HKPS and LH. Either one with offer will be good.

If you aim for traditional school then SC is a good choice. Victoria might be more suitable if you aim for IB.

No comment on KM, but I think SC has a longer history with sound record.

KM學術程度高，紀律比SC Vic 嚴格，如果考傳統學術學校，KM課程幾配合。

Are you sure SC is good for local school training?

SC is good for local school training, they teach students how to study instead of memorizing word by word. SC kids may not be top 3 in class in junior primary, however, usually one of the top 3 from senior primary is from SC.

Well I said this based on personal experience. Me and my brother graduated from SC (wow nearly 30 years go!) and we both went to excellent primary schools. I remember seeing somewhere in the web that recent SC 升小一 result is still outstanding.
As for KV, surely it is another very good kindergarten with same long history as SC, perhaps more academic focused (aka more homework) than SC.

如果我係你我會揀劍鳴 (細班，學術夠，學校目標和你的目標係一致）。我小朋友係維記學生，學術真係偏淺但返學超級開心，但因為佢本身非常活躍坐唔定但對hands on projects投入感好高，所以適合體驗式學習多於傳統型。維幼生想入傳統名校唔係唔得，戰績亦亮麗，但問心就算入到都應該要適應一排追返一年半載，包括學術及上堂模式！我覺得睇小朋友個性好重要，如果可以坐定定，加上咁細個已經咁明確鐘意串字同數字，match到劍鳴style就一定劍鳴。SC係兩者中間。

I also know friend from SC that went to DBS (more than 30yrs ago), but I don't know the result now. The friends we know that send their kids to SC seems only have second tier offers (maybe they are only few out of the 800 graduates) We hope our son can get in schools like SPCC or DBS, and I heard that presentation is more important than academic during p1 interview. Any thoughts?

揀邊間kg, 其實要睇小朋友性格，並不是只睇父母的期望。

三間中我始終會揀SC, SC歷史悠久，咁多年都未聽過有負評或出過負面新聞，年年都大把學生考到神校及一線名校，家長普遍高質數，真係無理由吾揀SC

Of all 700 Victoria k3 students 2012-2013, 21 went to St Paul's Coed. Is this good enough for your standard?

其實明顯樓主嘅小朋友係知識型，又想入傳統小學，理應劍鳴應該十分適合，課程較深，又著重小朋友思考。不如反過來諗吓每一間有啲咩地方係唔適合你嘅小朋友或唔配合你哋嘅目標再決定揀邊間。

例如 Vic 行IB，同你想小學入傳統學校有衝突。喜歡數學但 St. Cat 數學唔夠好等等。比較完而你又接受到個結果的話，就揀嗰間囉。其實3間都係好學校，真係好難選擇嘅。

SPCC 尾兩年才會揀學生take IB curriculum。但SPCC IB results 係全港最top。幼稚園唔使諗IB 唔IB，最基本的課程已經ok 。所以我會㨂SC/KM.
