Hi I am a newbie to this group and I apologize in advance for my stupid questiins.

My son is now studying at Cannan PN and can be promoted to K1 next year. Originally I didnt have the plan to go for IS but as I have gone through the "interview battle" and realized more about the situation in the local education system, I wanted to go for IS for my son.

If I want my sin to go for IS, would it be too late now? Can I still have a chance to change to IS KG in K2? My son can speaks both Eng and Cantonese fluently now and he is a kid who loves exploring and learning.

Thanks so much for your advice!

You can see if K1 of some IS are still open for applications though I think many have closed. Apply for K2 (Reception) of some IS as soon as possible.

Which area are you living in? I know there are some IS which are still accepting K1 applications.

try starters in wan chai, it's a very small kinder, but the teachers are really good!

try your best to start at K1.If u join K2, you will be still in your adaptation stage while everyone is preparing for P.1 interview.

I know there is no deadline for Kowloon Tong Baptist Church KG. Can this one help my son to enroll in IS in Primary school? Thanks again!

i know at least 5 international schools in the tko / sai kung area which are still accepting application for 2014. i will send out the links later when i am home

Try to apply for through train international schools from K1/K2 instead of international kindergartens only, so that you don't need to apply for primary later.

My kids studied in York -PN,,kcs-k1, both are local kg, then changed to kcis
,so, still not too late to change now!

For your reference, ESF will open its new kindergarten in Tung Chung in 2015. If you are interest in, just pay attention to its website about the admission this autumn

I understand your frustration. I have gone through all these 'interview battles' for both children.My girl also applied for KBCKG too(submitted the form in Oct 2013) and we will have a school visit next week. My impression is that the staff at this school are very nice and informative. I think it is worth for you to try but remember that they only have K1 and K2. Good Luck!

starters school, you can search this name in google and fine the school website immediately. It's a very small school, but the teacher are great. It is in a first come first serve base, no interview is required.

I called the school. No Chinese lesson will be offered. So, may I know if all their graduates go to intl school?

We are HK family. It is really harsh for us to find a seat in intl sch.

是，此校非一條龍，學生多升讀國際學校，(除了一些家長安排子女讀兩間幼稚園(一本地，一國際)的特別例子)。

記得以前去問時，老師說在那裏讀滿三年，英文一定夠考國際小學。不過，國際學校同本地教育好大唔同(語言、學費、升學之路)，行這條路之前真要想清楚。
