On the scheduled date for choosing musical instrument, there will be many student representatives who are learning a specific type of musical instrument to demonstrate to the P.1 student. These student representatives will spread around in the 4/F hall. The P.1 student can freely walk around and request the student representatives to demonstrate. The student representatives can share their experience of learning that musical instrument (e.g. how to carry to school due to huge size, etc.)
The school's music director will be there and discuss with each P.1 student (together with his parent) what the student wants to learn and whether he is suitable for that instrument (e.g. whether his 嘴形) is suitable for learning 管乐). You can also check which dates will normally be the date for practice (e.g. Chinese drum practice on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat) so you will know whether this will clash with your kid's other schedule after school (e.g. choir practice on Thur).
In addition, there will be performance made by students (last year 低音大提琴、二胡, etc.) All in all, it is very worthwhile to take part in this musical instrument selection session. If you are not available on the date assigned to your class, then you can discuss with your class teacher / music director to rescheule to another date within those three days (e.g. change from Monday to Tuesday or Wednesday).
