ESF Y1 random no. 既迷思

看來Priority group主導面試機會，random no 次要應該是沒錯。

哎，我QBS waitlist，父母HK local ，非almuni，屋企講中文，無哥哥姐姐。。。屬於最低priority，都懶得打去問了。

不知道會不會有奇蹟出現。

RC doesn't use random no.  Once you are invited for an interview, then it's up to the child's performance.

From what was told in the briefing sesssions, last year, the first 50 reserved places in BHS and the first 60 reserved places in KJS finally got offer if they passed the interview. I guess you are not applying BHS because if you are studing in ESF kinder your number will not be that high. If KJS, then you are the first 40 in reserved place and the chance seems good. If you are SJS, i don't know, but heard the situation is far better this year as WKS only has 6 classes against 8 classes this year.

I am not so worried about it now, if we get in we get in.  I guess you can say our reserve no. is 4X being 19X-150 places.  The ESF kindie principal had said to us their admission rate to ESF primary schools was above 90% last year, so I am not sure how it could be the case if they only applied for 2 ESF schools and 1 was put on the reserve list.  I suppose it's about timing of when they can give the offer.  Any parent who is reading this post should know that the chance of getting an interview is slim if you aren't from ESF kindie.

May I ask why you said you are not too worried?Do you have any backup plan if your kid fails to secure any place for Year 1?
We are in the delimena if we should look for K3 space in a local kindly.

Hi there,
I am not worried because it's just a 'waiting game', eventually we will get an offer but just don't know when.  The results for the two ESF schools we have applied are out, we haven't got an offer but are on reserve list.  Over 90% of existing ESF kindie students will get an offer from ESF.  We have also applied for 1 more school and if we don't get an offer from any of them, then maybe will apply Y1 next year instead again as my son was born in Nov 2012 so he's a young one.

RC only uses random no. to determine whether you have any chance for interview?

其實之前有看到滑蛋河你的文章鼓勵，現在只有聽天由命，畢竟最初並沒有長時間部署入ESF或其它IS，看到很多家長放了很多很多心機與金錢，其它人有得in有offer都好應該，我都想得通。

不過話說今年12月初來我們間幼稚園observation (前文知道我們小孩同讀一家幼稚園)，問翻班主任其實QBS看左好耐，我個仔雖不在observation list，不過當日一貫的活潑活躍，唔知會不會暗地裏加分？哈！

我真不知道ESF (QBS)去一些直屬或友好kindy observe有什麼目的？反正之後每個小朋友都要重新in一次。其實真正的居心何在？？？

Benchmarking 方便他們知道條curve要點拉？

或如佢地講給個印象給candidate咁簡單？

定系瞄下無得in的漏網之魚小朋友有沒有優秀的給個priority 2nd round?

天知道。。。

現在只能期待奇蹟出現。。。。

I heard last year all kids in the reserve list(wks) got a spot at Esf foundation schools finally(though some took offer other the school they applied for)

我check 樓主出post 的history. 樓主random number around 190 , 約5月出post 問有冇sjs 二手校服。

我也是不停翻看舊post , 去預計入sjs 的chance
