Who should apply via JUPAS for admission?
Applicants with HKDSE Examination results
Bachelor's Degree Programmes
All applicants (school and non-school applicants) who wish to apply for admission to the full-time government-funded bachelor's degree programmes offered by the 8 JUPAS participating-institutions and to the full-time non-government-funded bachelor's degree programmes offered by OUHK on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results SHOULD apply via JUPAS. Such applicants will be considered mainly on the basis of their HKDSE Examination results, while participating-institutions will have the discretion to consider other factors as deemed appropriate.
All school applicants as in (a) above MUST apply via their respective schools.
School applicants who may be sitting for the HKDSE Examination in some / all subjects as private candidates MUST apply via JUPAS AND via their respective schools as school applicants.

Summary of the Eligibility for Application via JUPAS
Case 1
Applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should apply for admission via JUPAS.
Case 2
Applicants with HKALE results only should apply for admission directly to the participating-institutions (participating-institutions may consider advanced standing entry). (Non-JUPAS)
Case 3
Applicants with HKDSE Examination and HKALE results may apply for admission via JUPAS if their HKDSE Examination results alone would make them eligible for application (assessment on applications via JUPAS will be based mainly on HKDSE Examination results, while participating-institutions will have the discretion to consider other factors as deemed appropriate).
Case 4
Applicants with HKDSE Examination and HKALE results should apply for admission directly to the participating-institutions if their HKDSE examination and HKALE results together would make them eligible for application. (Non-JUPAS)
Please be reminded that applicants should read carefully the general entrance requirements and individual programme entrance requirements of the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions when they apply for admission via JUPAS.
Also, applicants who are currently enrolled in a full-time or sandwich bachelor’s degree programme offered under JUPAS in one of the 9 participating-institutions should not apply via JUPAS. (Non-JUPAS) |
