My son 1st interview on 18-June and we got "waiting list" letter from school on 15th July.  Almost 1 month.

My sons classmate  went to interview on 3rd July also. He isn't Chinese.

Sampan a, do u think the process of selecting or tests are different to the others, for sure his Chinese would not perform as well as their others.  But selection will be easier on him?

NCS的中文不用考的，其餘相同都要考。希望你朋友成功的。因往年的百多個NCS小朋友，成功率可以有7至9個%。
比我們中文學生不足3%，已高了很多的。

Sampapa thanks for your reply, In that case I ve another question, my son is mix. But he does speak Chinese  they tested him in Chinese.  He would then be classed as Chinese stream.

He did say the Chinese was difficult. Just have to see what happen.

If you select NCS, should be applied in application. After interview, change to other queue is not allowed or considered. It is fair to other kid.

If kid admitted by school. You will be normal student. School will arrange summer course for NCS or bad chinese student free of charge.

另一個方法是，補回資料給學校，使學校相信孩子的母語，並非中文，說明自己孩子不懂中文，而申請時不知道註明，希望可以用NCS身份申請。

I don't remember the application form has NCS choice. I didn't think we have a choice.

No second interview get waiting letter and after second in get waiting.
The class of "Waiting" is SAME.
No second-in get waiting means all session pass but not high mark.
Had second-in get waiting means family support to be improve more.
In this time, write letter to school show your family eduction improved more.

High ability kid is many, but family support is not easy.
If I well interviewer, i perfer good family support than high ability kid.
