Dear All,

I'm thinking of transferring my child from ESF Clearwater Bay School to CAIS.
Can anyone give me some advice - about the application procedures, the school, whether kids learning the IB system can smoothly take up another curriculum?
I have no idea what kind of a school it is, but I just want to let him go to a Christian school.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot, Workmama. Is your kid studying there? Can you share your opinions of the school?

Wearing skirts = bad behaviour???

Come on, IS parents should be more open minded.

My home is in the middle of CAIS and KGV. The girls from both schools wear short skirts. This may be the trend ..  As long as they look tidy and health,  it is OK to my standard.

Dear All,
Thank you very much for your responses. I don't think the parent who mentioned her/ his frineds' coomment didn't mean that we can judge a school by its' girls' skirts.
May I know how many classes there are in Grade 3 or 4?
I don't know if I can afford the school fees of ICS or CAIS. ESF is asking for $6100 right now for all primary levels.

You may also consider ICS - International Christian School.

I noticed girl's skirts at many IS high schools are very short. Not sure if it's the design of the uniform or the students shortened it.
...

These comments were of course not from CAIS parents and in fact, I doubt whether this would be from any IS parents at all.

Some people just like to judge other people's schools.

Judging a student by the length of a skirt?
Wow, then those gangsters students can easily get away easily by wearing long skirts or long pants.

What kind of mentality?

PS. I am in no way connected with CAIS.

As far as I know, ESF secondary girls are not wearing skirts but skorts - skirts on the front but in fact pants inside.  The length of skorts is designed by the school. Whether it is short or not does not relate to good or bad behaviour.
I don't know whether it is the same in CAIS or other IS.

My daughter is studying in the kindergarten class now. So far I am very happy with the school, the teachers, and the staff, and I have observed that my child enjoys it much too. I have also met some parents of upper primary and high school, they all have positive comments about the school.

For your information, CAIS is now undertaking a re-developing project. They'll have a new campus in Lai Chi Kwok in five years time. For the time being, they're running two campuses. The Kindergarten classes, grades 4 to 12 are staying in the Kowloon City campus while grades 1-3 are in Shep Kip Mei. You may visit the school and see it for yourself whether you feel comfortable with it. I think the upper primary classes get out at 3:10 in the afternoon and I think high school gets out at 3:35.

As far as the uniform is concerned, girls wear skorts.

Hope you can find a suitable school for your child to transfer to.

回覆 1# reneeleung 的文章

Does anyone know

1. how many classes there are in Grade 3 and in Grade 4?

2. if there are many local Chinese in the two campuses?

3. if its tuition fee more or less the same as that of ICS?

Thanks.

I am also considering this school.  I know that the moral education is very good at this school, teachers are caring and students are well behaved.  My only concern is that I heard that the academic results of CAIS is a bit weak compares with other famous IS.  Is it true?
