Me too, agent比你既學校如果唔啱心水可叫佢再揾，揾到啱為止，但都行、要货比三家

除非你想報既學校係唔會俾agent做，一定要自己報既話，咁就冇辦法喇！

好難講，要同agent傾落先feel到佢夠唔夠經驗同helpful, 我個agent每次問佢野都好快覆，但就唔主動，要我問她才會講，可能性格問題啦，佢又唔係服務態度唔好

佢地資料好細節，先睇下邊啲學校。
因為學校之間既差距好大，好似 Cardiff Sixth Form College 既 A-Level有近95%既A率，而同樣係 Sixth Form 學校既 Padworth College 只有大約20%，所以要小心選擇。

我覺得口碑好緊要，我個 agent 係同事介紹，佢整個服務過程我都好滿意，而家個女過左去年經，有乜野事要佢幫手，佢都好快處理。

I have applied to many schools without agents. It is not difficult. Just email to the school, complete the registration form and pay the registration fee. For entrance exams, some schools can send the papers to British Council which will charge (the charge depends on how many subject exams). Some schools require entrance exams to be taken/interview in UK. Some very top schools can only be applied directly without agent.

I once asked the agent to apply an English short term course. However, the agent did not have much information about the different campuses that offer the course and advised me to go to a very distant campus. I had to call the school myself to find out the campus nearest to my home. If I didn't double check myself, I would have enrolled in a far away campus.
I found that the agent did not have prospectuses of some famous secondary schools. It seems that if I apply through this agent, my choice would be limited.
And I also suspect that the school will be more willing to accept students who apply for themselves as the school can save the agent fees.
I submitted application form to the secondary school registrar and received their acceptance on the next day. Then I just filled in whatever forms the registrar sent me. It was easy and faster than using an agent as I dealt directly with the registrar. Using an agent is complicated as I have to supply info to her who in turn supply those to the school. It delays the process.

My steps for searching schools in UK are as follows:
1. look for boarding schools , 2. look at ranking, 3. visit school's website, 4. consider other's comments (e.g. visit mumsnet in UK) 4. email to school to ask for information, 5. ask if entrance exam can be taken in HK (at agent's office or British Council), 6. visit schools, if possible.
