How about Victoria playgroup? Also cancel class observation? If so what's the point of studying their playgroup?

比左錢上左成年先講冇左，有受騙的感覺，當初又話可以比小朋友係熟悉的環境下做interview....

Victoria playgroup has no separate interviews in playgroups neither.... But do you know if playgroup students would still have some slight advantage ?

Pretty sure there will be many very disappointed parents. Know a lot of parents (and their children) who actually don't like Artplus but stayed just because of the observation.

Actually there is no point to join Arts Plus anymore if there is no observation. I am so disappointed that they suddenly changed their policy without consulting the parents. Frankly speaking, I would not join them a year ago if I knew that there is no observation.

Ongoing progress review is far better than one day (actually few hours) on site assessment!
If you have doubt, you can call the centre to ask for details.

Well, if our child has very good performance in the class on average, it is good for ongoing assessment, otherwise there is no point to continue the lesson here.

Most importantly, they suddenly changed their policy and it is not acceptable as it is not agreed with what they told us when we joined the lesson at the first beginning.

I m not sure if their on going assessment affects the interview in Victoria or not.
But if the success rate of candidate in arts plus in admission of Victoria is not high in this year , they risk losing business instead in the following years!
It's absolute that there are many monster parents around that by saying observation poses pressure to the kids
I would rather think the parents are having pressure instead !!

They will paid for that if that's the case!

其實由頭到尾都沒有"priority". 只是最終較大機會被收，絕對沒有先收這回事

From my observation, the success rate of Arts Plus ---> Victoria depends your choice of campus.  If you choose HK side Victoria campus, quite high admission rate (from my source, at least 80% success rate),  versus low rate for Kowloon Victoria campus, possibly because there are less places in Kln side.

Also, if you target CWB & HH campus, it seems that Arts Plus stands a better chance...  Dunno if it is still true in the coming years.

The truth is that even You go to Artplus, seat is not guaranteed. But if you don't go artplus, chance to victoria is almost nil. I know some will say somebody never go to artplus and get into vic . But it's all about the percentage. I know most vic students were artplus students

So I think they do get priority

How do you know it will be based on ongoing assessment at a Arts Plus? The letter just mentioned that the observation session will be cancelled. Did anyone call to confirm about ongoing assessment?

I met the principal last week and he told me directly face to face !

But I guess the ongoing assessment is just for those whose is on waiting list
If the interview performance is really bad i guess they won't take the ongoing assessment into account .

from personal experience, For big b attending arts plus, the admission rate is very high even for Kowloon side (ie almost everyone in the class got offer) , for smaller b (eg June, July babies), the admission rate is much lower (eg 1/4 of the class got offer) and caused much disappointment

My son studied at artsplus last year and now with Victoria. During the class observation he cried so so so badly, basically he refused to go into the classroom because scared of the western blonde observer. So the whole English section he didn't being observe but on campus interview was ok (follow instructions, clean up the toys, etc). I thought no hope cos of the class observation, finally he got accepted to Victoria. I guess the ongoing assessment with artsplus help, as my boy's on going reports was quite good.
