Does anyone got the offer from NIS? my son got offer for PM class. Lets share more info here. Thanks!

Hi me too. but I worry whether it is a through-train to P1. The other consideration is NIS has no secondary school yet. I worry my son will have no place in IS secondary but very hard back to LS. Any advice?

i got k1 offer as well. i don't concern secondary school very much as i may send my kid to Canada after primary school. I am also struggling about the through-train issue, and i will ask the school next week.

yes we will move to Taipo from HK Island and we hope he can study at NIS from K1 to primary. we are offered the PM session. what about you Queenie and tsewest?

wow then you really like NIS. You even move home for it! So you definitely will accept the offer?

I am offered AM session.

I asked another current parent in ek and she told me that actually some will leave in K2/P1 and go to ESF and other IS, mainly because NIS doesn't have secondary.

seems that the competition is not that "high". I called school and they are in mid-term break. Will call again next week.

RC and ESF are harder to get in than NIS. i love NIS because it is more down-to-earth and pure and less commercial.

curriculum is different but one of current parents told me that there is no difficulty to pick up the ESF/ other IS academic learning in secondary school.

We went to the interview and still haven't received anything from the school. I guess we don't get the offer.

yes we love the school enviornment and the teachers are all very nice.
what time is for the AM session? for PM it is 12:30-3:30pm

Our son got PM offer too. Already sent in the cheque for acceptance.
Just wonder about its quality of Chinese teaching. Got any idea?

Yes, my son had attended playgroup. I think they give priority to playgroup attendees.

We couldn't attend playgroup since our grandparents not willing to take bb there, It's a little bit far from our home. I really like the school hope they can put me into waiting list !

my son didnt join their PG, and indeed his performance in interview was quite bad. we thought he wont be able to get the offer!! luckily he got the PM class offer!

Me either. My daughter wasnt in any of the playgroups but was admitted AM offer. The school is really loving and caring but i am concerning P1 offer to k students

Just share the reply I got from Ms. Lisa:

"This year we are hoping that all of our K2 children will be able to continue on to the Primary, based on the possiblity that we will be offering mixed-aged classes next year, as we have don this year"

I guess mixed-aged classes will be a solution and the chance to get into P1 is quite high....

But i am not too optimistic about the secondary school....if it runs IB, it takes years for them to get the recognition/accreditation?

多問一句，佢地要求多唔多parent involvement ?我同c6都要返工，好難involve 太多，請假只可以間唔中。

因為而家佢上playgroup由嫲嫲帶，上次老師突然問嫲嫲爹地媽咪係咪好忙，無見過帶佢上。令我覺得佢好似expect 家長involve 好多咁。

我本身是working mom. 我亦不是常常參與學校活動。不過我同c6 分開参與。有時他去, 有時我去。至於會唔會影響升小學. 我覺得唔會。但無可否認亞仔大部分同學的媽媽是FTM

多謝你回覆. 我都感覺到playgroup 大部分都係由媽媽帶的, ftm /working mum 唔緊要, 但我只係怕學校會expect 左媽媽全部都係ftm, 咁樣大家都會辛苦.

當然, 學校活動我同c6 都一定會輪流去參與, 唔會孤獨村....只能夠話盡力, 唔想阿仔唔開心嘛.

Hi Parents, does anyone of you know the exact date of NIS K1 school opening in Auguest? I have lost all the letters from NIS before (my maid accidentally threw them away) and have no idea about the dates now. please advise if anyone of you know.

Don't worry. The school will send the class information & document to the parent in before the class start (1 week before)
