I think it depends very much on which batch of schools you are looking for. If you are looking for top batch schools, Academic Asia would be a better choice as AA is the agent (exclusive for some) for many UK top independent schools.

There is the Top School week in Sept every year. During that week, some 1x schools like Badminton, Tonbridge, Abington, Headinton, Charterhouse, King's Canterbury... would have their teaching staff here for interviews.

The bad thing is AA would categorize your kids (so called their own matching) and may limit your choices.

If you are not looking for the very top batch (say top 100), I think the service of Dolphin won't let you down.

I agree with you Spiderlily, except one point. I did go to Dolphin as well as AA for my son, both of them recommended the same batch of schools to us, namely Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Charterhouse, Brighton, Abingdon, Oundle etc. Because of the location and the "seemed more systematic and professional approach" of AA, we finally chose AA to pursue the applications for us. But I am not very happy with AA's follow up. If I can choose again, I would go for Dolphin.

u can call Academic Asia directly. You need to take a screening test first.

yes, the screening test is easy. but i think AA will base on that result plus your current school reports to decide/recommend the suitable schools to you.

ya ,but it is mainly based on your screening test .I have entered a school through its top schools week

Dolphin is very nice and responsible. They even helped me on the schools that they couldn't earn any commission. Their advice is students-oriented but not just for business.

No, the top school week is by appointment only. Your child would need to take a test (Maths and Eng) in AA and they will see if, and which ones of, the batch of schools coming to HK in this top school week is suitable for your child, and if in the positive will make appointment for you. So you have to first call up and make an appointment with AA to do the test first.

我就用兩間...AA 同 coopers and coopers
原因係，AA有獨家學校，例如Headington, 但有好多學校佢唔做，叫自己去申請....

所以我找C & C 幫我報其他學校，例如St Swithun's, Cheltenham Ladies' College,

AA 會有自己的test去benchmark 個學生，而C & C 個老闆 (外國人) 會自己單獨見個學生去benchmark 同 recommend 學校。

C&C的agent比較積極。佢已經幫我寄了我女成績過英國的學校。學校睇完成績亦寄表叫我們填。一切報名手續都攪掂，現在只是等學校9.10月過來interview同test.

至於AA ..做完個test，recommend 左學校之後就無咩動靜。

當然，兩間agency都唔知我有找其他agency.

我本人覺得AA個Test唔係好可以反映學生的成績.

我仔有考過AA個Test, 最終AA建議D學校係排名200之後; 由於當時我自己已經直接向幾間TOP的學校報名, 佢地當然無再理我

之後有其中一間學校要考入學試, 佢地指定DOLPHIN係佢Official Agent, 佢地好專業, 雖然佢都係無直接由學校收到Commission, 我亦要比考試費, 但佢地都會同我傾下呀仔考邊間及分析邊間好D, 個人感覺好好

我都是搵Dolphin幫手, Perry 很好人，跟得很好，囡囡考學校entrance test時，佢又會鼓勵佢，叫她放心作答，仲有佢唔會同一時間叫你報考好多間，不過當時我擔心囡囡如只考一間太冒險，所以報了3間，Perry都有叫我不如等第一間有結果再算，但最後我囡都是分幾日考哂3間，結果3間都ok!

我試過去AA, 她們只會介紹一些學費貴而佢又肯定你子女一定入到的學校，只求做成生意就算, 每次都要自己打電話去跟進，比我感覺好行貨

i recommend Dadi Oversea Studies Service Centre!!! there are many choices in both uk foundation and universities, as well as they provide immediate interview with foreign school representative and school written test!

Agree！Dolphin 的 Perry 是一位很為學生和家長設想的 agent！ AA 則純粹做生意，不會盡心，連流水作業也稱不上。個別代理，更是非常不專業。

上個星期去左AA做screening test 阿女數學果part做得好一般只達到一間top school嘅entrance (後來佢話本身expect個test係好短好基本冇溫過以前學過d數學) 跟住AA嘅agent只offer top50-150嘅學校其間同我地幾次提到：如果你係喺st paul's co-ed考到呢d名次... (但阿女讀果間係band 1非名校) 阿女後來覺得agent根本唔起佢間學校又周圍掛住晒st. Paul's送嘅錦旗唔肯再上AA..... 而家我同佢見大家咁推介dolphin 都諗住email成績比dolphin了解下希望阿女可以揀到佢鐘意嘅學校先去apply...

不過留意，Dolphin 也會介紹一些排名很低的學校給你，要自己小心 check 清楚。你也可要求推薦排名較高的學校。
