我聽完講座及家長發問後覺得OK，雖然是新校，但有YMCA背景同資源SUPPORT，校長同職員亦有辦校經驗及熱誠，我對這新校比教正面。我期望我的孩子能快樂學習，不一定需通過多功課來操練孩子，反而希望培養孩子對學習的興趣及主動。我覺得，只要學校有資源，將來的校園的硬件設施應不成問題，學校的目標亦是努力得到各項國際認證。英,普，愉快學習加上有聯繄中學，基本上已滿足了我對學校的期望。

英文小學想收啲英文叻嘅小朋友都好正常，更何況，差唔多間間面試都要兩文三語。希望佢唔好乜都收就真。但點解覺得想收「非港童」？

我明白此校非本地傳統課程，會相對輕鬆，少些抄寫，重覆練習，這我不太擔心，實在唔來將來日日，同周末同亞仔D功課，考試作戰。學習有很多方法，既然我唔buy依家死谷果套，就要搵其他學習方式。讀完此校六年校，有priority 升東涌的YMCA Christian College 或預備國際課程，要看看你想孩子將來要走的路。

此校並不是一間國際學校,(那有國際學校$50000一年學費那麼平)是一所英文小學,教學方法及理念就近似國際學校,但課程是本地課程,只不過除了中文是用普通話授課外,其餘都是全英語,另外課程深淺真是睇下你要咩,但這間學校一定不是"谷"的那種,如你要"谷"的就不要考慮此間了,我個人覺得教學方法有好多種,唔"谷"唔表示小朋友學唔到嘢,我想此所學校是不認同本港田鴨式教學的好選擇.
另這間學校當然不是收(非港童),我眼見讀緊我小朋友都是港孩呢,只不過這所是英文學校,所以教學語言當然是全英語,我相信很多家長選擇英文學校都是想孩子在英語環境下學習打好英語基礎

Apart from Chinese and maths. All other subjects are adapting the British national curriculum. So it's mixed. They described it as globalised I think....if not remember it wrongly

入課室睇到中文課工作紙，比起本地 bilingual kindergarten 既 k3 淺，要寫的字也不多。

All subjects in our school are taught in English (except second languages). We offer both international curriculum - IGCSE curriculum and UK GCE 'A' Level, and the Hong Kong curriculum leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). In Form 3 and 4 students can take IGCSEs 'on top' of the HKDSE curriculum. In Forms 5 and 6 students can opt to take either the HKDSE curriculum or apply to study UK GCE 'A' Levels.

我認為人都是懶散，若沒有鞭策敦促，很難教好孩子。沒有默書、測驗、考試，孩子會溫習嗎？

呢間係私校, 其實你可以掉轉諗, 5歳入去讀, 再一路讀書一路繼續考小一同抽獎, 完全無衝突.
你又可以試下呢間學校

完全不用放棄考其他小學的機會, 你可繼續叩門、大抽獎。邊讀G1看孩子是否會適、學校是否對勁，又可操兩文三語叩間好學校, 返全日只要五千元, 平過好多名幼啦

There are too many schools in HK that focus on exam, test, and dictation. If you believe that children will learn better when they enjoy to go to school everyday happily, this school gives us an option.

More information: School principal was a band one secondary school principal who knows the requirements for admission of top secondary schools well, and the curriculum of the school is structured as such (English based on British standard while Chinese and Mathemathics based on Hong Kong standard). Science and Math are taught by experienced teacher from YMCA Hong Kong. English and Art are taught by teacher from England. Chinese is taught by Putonghua teacher from Beijing who graduated with a law degree from a top university in Beijing. Physical Education is taught by professional fitness instructor from YMCA Hong Kong. Weekly one hour extra curricular activities with no extra cost. School lunch is provided by a YMCA resturant tailor made for students. School bus is available for most students and is expected to have more routes next year. Fee is $5,000 a month for 10 months a year.

You may ask the school office about their planned new bus route. The school has one class this year and has one bus route for areas with most students. They would probably have 6 small classes next year.

Sounds pretty good! However, I really want to complete K3 before getting in primary school. Is the chance very low if I apply G2 next year? My kid is in K2 now.

Not sure about the chances. Heard that there will be 4 Year One and 2 Year Two classes next year, 25 students per class.
Good schools are looking for good children and responsible parents where responsible parents would help good schools keep running good.

small size class,

May I understand if there is any extracurricular activities provided by the school? The tuition is quite high for a new school and its facilities are not comparable to other international schools or some modern new school..=)

You are correct. But you are comparing the school fee to local school, but comparing the facility to international school.

Well.....Yes and no....their school fees are more expensive than TSL/Creative Primary/gigamind/plklmc/HKUGA yet the extracurricular activities are not as comprehensive or yet I have no seen anything being offered...
I do understand it is a new school. I just want to have a bit more understanding of the whole curriculum in addition to that they use British curriculum for most subjects and local curriculum for Chinese and Math. Like any sports? Music programs?

但校車一般要知道未來搭校車的學生住邊至有得 plan 路線。
information night 不是派了張 survey form?
你們要告訴學校計劃坐校車，校車公司会因應學生需求制定路線。
我都好想坐校車，新界北吾知有冇新同學仔呢？

所以我唔介意學校係新..始終佢地係有經驗既辦開團體!!

我仔今年讀YEAR 1 ^_^

我的小孩現在讀緊，跟你們分享吓，這學校是一間私營英文為主的小學，無參與什麼國際的考試及不是行IB ,功課少，只有毎星期的英文故事閱讀報告，中文是用普通話，一年級教拼音和拆字法。老師們和教職員大家都好nice,毎次我送上學都有種家的感覺。點解個校名有些怪，因為佢用了新㑹商會的舊址必須要掛別人的名先，如果在本港從新建一間私校或國際學校要等教統局就㑹很久。所以大家不要為佢的校舍外貌或設備去跟其他國際學校比較。為何我會選擇佢，我只想孩子在快樂的環境下學習，快樂是一種很大的推動力，孩子每日都自主地返學享受跟同學間互相帶來的驚喜。你會發現孩子不知不覚地學到很多。

When did u apply? The 1st batch interview for grade 1 for CAIS was held in feb. For late submission, I am afraid it may take longer time for the sch to arrange an interview.
